Did this:

and his first playoff TD to a non TE or RB (and it came on a shovel pass). that was stunning to me.

I'll be honest. The run looked to be in slow motion.

The missed tackles almost looked intentional.

The "spin move" was silly as hell, and should not have worked.

I kept waiting for him to get popped, and it didn't happen. Massive implosion on defense.
no one wants to hit him. hes the face of the league right now. was talkling with my boss about this same thing today. someone needs to hit these running QB's when they tip toe like that. hes a runner. hit. him. hard.

send a message. pats clocked tannehill doing the same thing.

i say, hit him, risk the 15 yards...hes a runner at that point. treat him like it.

Right now this kid is playing on another level from the rest of humanity, which is largely why I'm going with the Chiefs to win the SB. Normally, I'm a defense-first kinda guy - you know the old cliche, defense wins championships - and SF has one badass D. That front seven is as good as any in the NFL. But I don't see even them stopping Mahomes and that incredible offense.

well, that's really where the battle probably is in this one. i would expect the 49ers to be able to put up around 30 points. It will all depend on whether the 49ers defense can contain their offense enough or if it is a regular Chiefs track meet.

I agree Rock. But just do it smart. The hit by Sorenson on Tanny in the 2nd half yesterday was textbook perfect. Do that to a QB a couple times and they will be looking to slide or get O.B. Unless they are stupid.

this. theyre making it WAY too easy on these running QB's. everyones petrified to be the guy that ruined /hurt them.

i mean, mo lewis gave drew bledsoe internal fucking bleeding. internal bleeding!

people forget bledsoe was the highest paid QB in nfl history at the time, and the face of the team.

Yup, and that was a great hit. Shoulder to chest. All Bledsoe had to do was step to the right but he was trying to play hero and got laid out. Doesn't that remind us of a certain someone?
