With his pitiful performance in the NFC Championship Game yesterday, he fell to 10-8 all-time in the playoffs. That’s a lower playoff winning percentage than Donovan McNabb.

So, what say you?

How many of those QBs have played in 18 playoff games? Asking for a friend?

I don't see how anyone can seriously state that Rodgers isn't a top 20 All time QB. Just because he is a total AHole, horrible teammate and gay doesn't mean he isn't one of the greatest QBs ever. From the looks of the last couple of years he obviously doesn't seem to be nearly as good of a QB as he once was, but again if going by career his is easily top 10.

Yes... Based on intangibles alone he's easily still one of the most talented QBs to ever play the game. But if we're basing this on accolades then he might slip to the bottom of the top 20. His stats are still great.

Tier 1
Brady
Montana
Manning
Brees
Unitas
Marino
Staubach
Favre
Young
Elway

Tier 2
Bradshaw
Rodgers
Starr
Aikman
Graham
Warner
Kelly
Tarkenton
Roethlisberger
Wilson
I don't like that giant gap between Brees and Rodgers. I'd probably have Brees only a spot or two above Rodgers and certainly in the same tier.

My opinion on most discussions of "is this athlete an all-time great" is almost entirely reactionary bullshit. As each great player either peaks or nears retirement with incredible career numbers, we want to say that they're much better than they really are in the context of history because we have no context of other players.

An example: when Troy Aikman retired, there was strong consensus that he was right there solidly behind Joe Montana. As time has gone on, who still says that?

The tiers weren't necessarily in any particular order. Just rattling off names that came to mind.
