There's just so much dyfunction with our team it's frustrating. Things keep changing & the results stay the same. Sadly Haslam's the real problem. And there's nothing that can be done about it. Too bad he can't be fired.
Haslem definitely a big problem. will say I believe when he finds the right guy to lead the FO he will stay out of the way and just spend when he is asked to. Thought he had that guy in Dorsey, but was smart not to let him lead another coaching search.

We'll see if he had it right the last time if Berry is the GM, as the 2016 guys will be able to finish what they started.

Can only hope.

Still disappointed in the new coaching hire. I was hoping for a HC that's had some kinda previous coaching success.

No way to know what "type" of coach will work so have faith (I get it....why should a Browns fan have faith).

Shanahan had no HC experience when SF hired him.

all i'll say in the Browns case is i'd hope they address their needs on draft day and FA. that'll go a long way in telling you how competent the new coaching staff is...

I wasn't a Hue Jackson fan when he was hired in the first place. So maybe I'm being a little over critical of him. Didn't like the guy. And the fact he ended his tenure in Cleveland as the worst coach in the history of the league is enough for me to say he failed in all areas.

It's about continuity, imo. At some point, you have to keep a coach for more than a couple of seasons. If for no other reason, than allowing players to develop in the same system. Changing coaches every season slows development.

Let them get some experience and develop a coach, then when you have a roster that can win, if you still aren't getting the results you think you should, then change coaches.

I completely agree. Sadly though my team's done none of the things you've suggested.

In some cases, maybe, but IMO worse than constant change is keeping a guy you know is over his head like Freddie (and Dorsey did himself no favors). I guess good news is new regime might be the old regime if Andrew Berry is brought in so they wont be looking to dump players out of ego. Not that I think these guys would do that as they don't work on emotion or ego I don't think.

My issue with him was he came across as a douche in pressers. Didn't know when to shut up. I have no doubt they win 8-9 games with him in charge this season. Freddie is just that dumb.

Yep, at the least, Hue was an experienced HC. How much better would the Browns look with 8 or 9 wins?

Maybe Hue can't get them past 8-9 wins, but they suddenly look a lot better to a coach who can take them farther.

It's like the Shaq/Kobe Lakers and more recently the Warriors. The bulk of that Lakers roster was developed by Del Harris, but it took Phil to get them titles. The Warriors roster was developed under Mark Jackson, but it took Kerr to get them titles.

And Mark Jackson was a similar issue to Hue. He was a douche and no one in the FO liked him.

Yeah, Kitchens was a different case. He was just the wrong hire from the second he was hired. If the Browns hadn't made the moves they did to upgrade the roster, then maybe you hire Kitchens and allow him and the players to learn and develop together with little pressure to win right away.

But you can't hand a first time HC a roster with playoff expectations and big personalities and expect a smooth transition. Especially when one of the biggest personalities doesn't know how to be an NFL QB yet.

At least the Browns figured that out and corrected it after 1 season. From what I've heard about Stefanski, you guys might have the right coach now. Seems like he might be able to calm everyone down and develop Baker.

Anyone see Curbed last night? Started slow but thought second half was better. MAGA hat was usage was hilarious.

Tring to figure out what theme is as they usually let us know in first episode (like Fatwa last time). Maybe harassment suit? Possibly getting back together with Cheryl?

Also like he and FO will not work based on ego and emotion from what I can see or have seen.
