What is the worst most memorable horrible humbling defeat in your team's history?

It could be a 1 point loss to your rival. It could be a 100 point blowout loss to A&M Tech State Northwest Central.

Hell, it could even be a loss to an FCS team if you live north of Canada.

What you got?

(Keep it within the last 50 years. Nobody cares if your team got ass-reamed by Army in 1947).

Worst i can remember was 94 vs PSU. Iowa cane in 2-0 and it was literally 45-0 like 20 minutes into the game.

I think it ended up 61-21 but it couldve been 200-0 if PSU had wanted it to be .

For Nebraska?

Too many to choose from recently.

Ha.

2001 Colorado. I was in attendance with my sister's arrogant asshole Colorado husband who got us tickets.

Walked into the stadium and the college kids were screaming in our faces and already throwing empty beer cans at anybody wearing red. I found it funny, cause, of course we were gonna kick their asses.

About 3 minutes into the game and the Red Sea of Moses opened up and Chris Brown jogged for one of the easiest TDs I'd seen since a high school scrimmage. Then Bobby Purify. And more Brown. And the counter trap that our very own team had executed and murdered teams with for decades was being surgically impaled upon our vaunted Blackshirts and #1 ranked 11-0 Huskers.

62-36 later, and the Big 12 Husker 'mystique' was gone. We were no longer the giants on the midway wrecking havoc on others. We were the bitches getting our asses absolutely handed to us; and there wasn't a damn thing we could do about it.

19 years later, and here we are.

Oh that is definitely on the list. So is the Gordon 400 yards in 3 quarters game. So is the Ohio St 62-3 game and the 2018 Michigan game.

But then so is the 09 Big 12 CCG.... and the 2010 Big12 CCG.

Like I said, too many to choose from. Program is near the bottom its been in 60+ years.

For me, it’s Oregon losing 55-16 to WSU at home in 2003 the week after we beat Michigan when they were ranked 3rd.

A few come to mind.

Losing to Michigan 38 - 31 in the '93 Rose Bowl.
Losing to USC 16 - 7 in '84 cost Washington the national championship.
Losing to Oregon 23 - 16 in 2000 cost Washington a national championship

Don't fret about it, you'd get your revenge 4 years later... too bad App State beat ya to it though.

Probably the 72 Orange Bowl loss to Nebraska 38-6. The CFPCG loss to Clemson last year is a candidate as well.

I remember watching that bloodbath with my family on TV. Saw a replay of it recently too - which was interesting. As the post-game bumper sticker (created by an Auburn fan) said: Nebraska 38 Alabama Sick! lol. Not a good night for the Tide, but they were at least out of the late '60s slump and had a rather successful '70s.

I want to say Purdue, because if that was a close loss we are in the CFP in 2018. However, with all the fanfare surrounding that 2006 team, the NCG was just brutal. It just didn't seem possible. It showed how flawed that team was when Ginn went down and our entire offense completely fell apart. Looking back, Tressel should've tried to slow things down and run through Pittman, as he was the only guy on our offense that could do anything that day.
