Ali McGraw will turn 81 in April. Admit it, this post made you think back to the shower scene in Goodbye Columbus and/or when she pulled down the edges of her bathing suit to cover her exposed butt cheeks.
Don't think they'd like me posting the picture I found of your reference. We'll just go with this.

That’s a step up in program. Would you go to a potential dead end job like Rutgers or Oregon State and kill your career for $300k?
Yes. Wouldn't you? And don't coaches do this all the time for title improvements and raises?

Or, he already has an awesome gig at an elite school where he's poised to move up. Money is far from everything. People who have it generally know this.
I'm fine financially. But if someone offered me double my salary to move to Ohio State to work at the college there, I'd jump at that.

And coaches stay at their current jobs all the time rather going to something that will not progress their career or do you think no one has offered Venabales a head coaching job?

Well no shit you would, you'd get to leave michigan and live in Columbus. That's a no-brainer for any amount of money. There's no chance in hell I'd go anywhere in michigan and leave Columbus, even for double my salary.

Ohio is the armpit of America. It’s the worst state ever. If anything it illustrates my point that I’d live in the garbage dump of Columbus to double my salary and live the sweet life.

Those guys typically also negotiate major deals at the school they stay at the same year.

Nebraska turned down Joe Burrow, twice! Turnabout is fair play.
