Los Angeles Lakers 2019-2020 Season Thread

Stupid loss to Orlando last evening right before the Emmy's road trip where the Lakers have to play some tough teams in a 6-game stretch. The Lakers didn't play much D and AD didn't play. Still should have won that game.

The Kuzma for (insert player here) talk is getting pretty funny.

Here are the players I've seen rumored so far:

1. Devin Booker
2. Robert Covington
3. Derrick Rose
4. Bogdan Bogdanovic
5. D'Angelo Russell
6. Jrue Holiday

There is little question that the Lakers need to add someone. But I don't think they have enough to win a bidding war for anyone who would make enough of a difference to be worth giving up Kuzma. Especially since at least a couple of the trade scenarios include Danny Green.

Trying to add someone through the buyout market still seems like the most likely possibility.

First big blow-out of the season this evening in Boston. We didn't show-up for this one and nobody played much D to speak of in beantown. Wednesday we should get back on track against the Knicks.

In the NBA, once and a while you get your butt kicked. This was one of those games. Nothing to worry about. Games like this lets good teams know they are not as good as they think they are and have to bring every night, especially; against top teams.

Yeah, the game was at Boston, the Celtics were desperate for a win (they were something like 2-6 over their last 8 games), were on a 3 game losing streak, AD was back for the first time in 5 games and had a little rust...that also pushed Kuz back to 3rd scoring option which he's not quite comfortable with yet.

Once they got that 8-0 lead, the wheels started coming off and they just looked like a bunch of guys who hadn't ever played together before and were using a warped ball.

They will be back on track tonight as they visit the NBA's version (New York Knicks) of the train-wreck known in the NFL as the Bungles. MSG and the dumpster fire known as the Knicks. Should be a nice road win!

Back-to-back wins. This one in the Nets arena. 3-1 on the roadie as we finish up in Philadelphia before heading home.

This team has got to defend the three better. They just got worked again by a top east team. Sixers without Embid. Kuz was a no show in this one. That is his issue, not consistent.0-6 against top teams. That is not good. I think we are missing a 3 and d really bad.
