I hear ya, but by the same token, the most important thing is to get the win. It ended up working out yesterday ... but he's a 57% FT shooter; the odds are not in our favor that it works out consistently with him at the line in crucial situations. Should he be over 70-75% as a Guard? Absolutely ... but right now it's a fact that he isn't and the object of the game is to win by whatever means necessary.
meh, it's the regular season. time to develop and build confidence.

It's only one win. If he can get comfortable making those big FTs we'll get much more than one win out of it. Playoff wins too.

This Sixers team is not going to sniff the finals

They have a bunch of talent but there is no heart of fire there
They'll oad their win stats because of their talent but when playoffs come they'll run into a team that wants it more - which as it looks will be any team in the 1-8 slot

Very disappointing team to watch right now
I would rather watch a less talented team with hunger and desire than these lackluster bunch of bozos

With teams like the Bucks and the Lakers and others losing is a distasteful hateful thing
To the Sixers losing is just another number in the loss column

This team has stunk the last few games. Not sure what's going on? It all falls on how Embiid does. If he's out, they lose. If he's off his game, they lose. Really wish we still had Butler.

Amen to that. they badly misjudged how great a clutch player he is. Another bad miscalculated move be a GM. First, it was BC, and now Elton or Brown made this decision. At least I have high hopes for Matisse.

Just wanted to pay respects to Kobe. I know it's on the Sixers thread, but he was born and raised here. Hayes him on the court, but I had so much respect for his game. The selfish side of me wished he would have one day played with the Sixers. That 2000 series vs the Lakers still crushes me. Anyway, my thoughts and prayers go out to Vanessa and the daughters, along with the other families that were in involved in this sad tragedy. The Eagles lost a huge Eagles fan. RIP Black Mamba!

He was the ultimate competitor, being from Philly, and a fan of all our sports, but then playing for another team, it's all business, and that's how he played the game. It is a business, and he was a master at that. I enjoyed seeing him celebrate the Eagles' SB win! He was the same age as my youngest son Nick, who came within a whisker of guarding him in a semi finals state championship game in Hershey in 1998, if I recall the year correctly. He would have been the one to guard Kobe, and he wanted to have that challenge. He wouldn't have shut him down, of course because nobody could do that. He just wanted to have that challenging opportunity. Besides, Lower Merion had a complete team besides Kobe. Ah, memories!!

Raps fan here - my best memory of him as a player was when he dropped 81 on us many years ago at the Staples Center... I've never seen anything in sports like what he did that night. An unbelievable player but what hurts most is that above everything else, he was a father, a husband, a son. All of the titles that matter the most... still numb to think he is gone. RIP and condolences to his family, and the other people involved in this senseless tragedy, and their families.

I never liked him as a player. He was a Laker, and an assassin. But he was a complicated one for me as the very things that made him frustrating if you were not a Lakers fan was what made him authentically a Philly guy. I can absolutely say I hated the jersey, not the player.

And we lost a solid Philly guy. It was just so shocking in its suddenness.

Correction: it was the 1996 semi-finals, not 1998. (Memory is slipping a bit).

Well, the sixers bring Glenn Robinson III back after a few years away and reunite Burke and Burks.
