Wisconsin on the road and at home are two completely different teams. Weird considering all the experience on the roster. This isn't a young team. Will Gard soon be on the hot seat? The further away from Bo's players the worst the program has gotten.

Last few nights have been typical of what i think we will see in the league this year. With so many good teams road wins are going to be few and far between

Gards 2020 and 2021 classes look pretty legit.

I think Gard gets few more years

German actually looks to have a solid make up if he can pack on a few more pounds. Hes pretty active on the glass.

Pitinos problem isnt that he misses out on top in state talent its that he never fills out a full class. Is Sammy Freeman really ever gonna actually play? Shit, Grenlee may not too

I've been a Pitino defender, but I think it's time to move on

We may lose Mash as a recruit. Pretty sure our 2021 commit wants to be gopher, so we're safe there

I think Pitino is fried if this ends up being only a 4-5 win season in conference play.

If they get up to like7/8 wins he may just stick around more.

Yeah, I can see him sticking with 7-8 wins. But his 7 years here have been underwhelming. Of course gopher basketball has been underwhelming majority of my lifetime.

You can tell hes definitely desperate. Gabe and Carr were simply embarrassments against Iowa and we lost by 20, yet he played them basically the entire game.

He gave no run to young freshman. I feel like hes coaching as if developing guys won't do him any good if the capable ones don't do well this year.

Well the time is near for Bohannon to decide on redshirting or playing out the year. Hes reached his max games. Next game is Dec 21 vs Cincy. What do you guys think he will/should do?

At this point I'd take my chances and roll with someone else. He was fortunate to land Murphy to begin with(originally committed to vcu then Shaka left). Without him Pitino doesn't make any tournaments. Maybe see if s guy like Anthony Grant would leave Dayton to get another P5 gig. I'm not sure who else would be out there, but I'm up for a change at this point. Maybe bring in a P5 assistant. That guy down out Texas comes to mind.

He's brought in some good recruits:
Mason, Murphy, Coffey, Oturu, Kalescheur

The problem is we always have 3-4 spots that are dead weight:
Hurt, Diedou, Konate, Jelly,

And few trouble makers:
Lynch, that other dude who's now in jail, and one or two others whose names are escaping me

Yeah he has brought in some. But he's never put together a class of like 3 top 100 kids. Coffey and Oturu were top 50 guys, but Hurt and Curry were in the same class as Coffey so there was nothing else there(Curry could have been really good IMO, if not for the injuries). Oturu is with Gabe and Omersa. Omersa is a role player, and Gabe, while I love him for what he did last year, isn't a guy you can build around. If he's your 4th/5th best player you're in good shape, not your 2nd best player. There just haven't been enough impact guys in recruiting. And his grad transfers and transfers that he's brought in haven't really made an impact outside of Springs and Lynch on the 17 team.

Plus it doesn't help Minnesota has produced a ton of great high school talent and he's only landed Coffey and Oturu out of that mix. And I'm not even talking about Hurt, Jones', Travis, Trent Jr. etc. I'm talking about guys like Zeke Nnaji, Tyrell Terry, McKinley Wright, Jericho Sims etc.

It's only 1 half so far but Ohio State without Washington look abysmal.

Gophers pretty much doing what they want down low and the Buckeyes offense is mostly non existent. Oturu has Wessen playing in fear down low.
