The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that surround the shoulder joint, keeping the head of your upper arm bone firmly within the shallow socket of the shoulder. A rotator cuff injury can cause a dull ache in the shoulder, which often worsens when you try to sleep on the involved side.

100% agree and that is why I am not upset with the Yanks getting him. 9 years of risk and the pressure of NY on his shoulders makes you ask will they get the Astros version or the Pirates version?

Not only 9 years but I would be stunned if he ever matched the season he had last year where he was arguably the best pitcher in baseball

I was all for going after Cole but not for 9 years. Even the reports say Cole has the 5 year opt out not the Yankees. So guess the Yankees aren’t all analytical?

I have always been a believer that all revenue should go in a pot and be portioned out by place of finish and not be rewarded by how low you spend or how low you finish. I mean just image a sports league that has to compete for prize money like winning really matters. That would be different...
That would be interesting, but how could it be fair. The Yankees make the most money and always have a top 1-3 team salary. They SHOULD win every year. So a small market team may spend $100 million on team salary and still be not able to afford that much. Then they finish 4th in their division and get a really small piece of the pie. I think the only way your idea works (and I like your idea) is if there is a hard salary cap giving teams equal chances. This would put the pressure on GM's and Coaches.

I agree, a salary cap would make the league more competitive.

Oh ya I would have a hard cap. Make it a competition like sports is suppose to be. I have been watching this crap since 1975 and it just gets worse year after year. Make it fun or cut the dead wait teams...like my Mariners if they don't want to compete for championships.

Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports that the Angels have expressed interest in a trade for Corey Kluber.
Ardaya also notes that Anthony Rendon is the priority right now, but that the team is "exploring all options." The Angels were unsuccessful in their attempts to woo Gerrit Cole back to Southern California, and the starting pitching market is beginning to thin out quicker than anticipated. Kluber was only able to make seven starts last year due to a fractured arm and strained oblique, but the two-time Cy Young winner would certainly represent an upgrade in the rotation for the Angels. The question now becomes what kind of deal Cleveland would be looking for in return, but the Angels' system has improved, and a match should be possible if both parties are interested.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Dodgers are signing free agent reliever Blake Treinen to a one-year, $10 million contract.
Passan notes that Treinen had multiple offers in that range but ultimately decided on Los Angeles. The right-hander was a big disappointment in 2019 and ended up losing the ninth-inning job in Oakland while posting a 4.91 ERA and 59/37 K/BB ratio over 58 2/3 innings. The year before, however, Treinen was as dominant as any reliever in baseball, so the Dodgers are banking on him rediscovering a semblance of that form. He'll likely begin the year as the bridge to closer Kenley Jansen, but he could see save opportunities if he does pitch like the hurler he was in 2018.

Multiple outlets report that the Mets are finalizing a one-year deal with Michael Wacha.
Jon Heyman of MLB Network says Wacha will get a $3 million guarantee, with a chance to make up to $10 million if he triggers all of the performance-based incentives. The right-hander needs to undergo a physical before the deal will be complete. The Mets are looking to add depth to their starting rotation, and it appears Wacha will be one of those options. The 28-year-old saw his 2019 season come to an early end due to a right shoulder strain, after posting a 4.76 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and 104/55 K/BB ratio over 126 2/3 innings for the NL Central-champion Cardinals. He'd be a tough trust as a fantasy option at this point in his career but might offer some streaming value in New York if he can stay healthy.

Hopefully they have to trade Adell if that happens
