I'll be happy, win or lose, I had one helluva good season. Never felt like I had to make a deal..in fact I never did have a trade, probably the first time I've ever went an entire season in a competitive league without at least one trade. The only true "bad luck" I had was losing Andrew Luck early on, so I gotta admit an entire season with never losing a key component to injury definitely made life easier. I did have a metric shit ton of points scored against me, or I'd have been the one choosing the opponent this week, but oh well, the schedule gods attempted to fist me, but for once I won that battle. I'm happy, I wanna win, but happy none the less

FROM LEFTY TO MBBRL MEMBERSHIP:
On this eve of week 15 it's time to make this official in accordance with my message a couple of months ago. As of 2020 I hereby resign from the MBBRL and will no longer participate in any associated leagues. That is except D1 - if Fuzzy wishes to continue our partnership.

For the most-part it has been a truly great experience, I've learned a lot, made some great board friends, and shared many laughs over the years. Yet the glow and pride I had for the league dissipated to the point it was no longer fun as a result of things said this past year and the surprising lack of support from the membership.

Perhaps I took the incident too personal since it struck so close to home, but before I acted, I did my research. I found that in the entire history of the league no such language had been directed towards any MBBRL member before. Thus, for the sake of my own self-respect, as well as those things the organization was founded on, I had to make my stand. I will, no doubt, miss the interactions in the league, but, at the same time, will not look back. A replacement will not be hard to find.

All that aside, I wish the league nothing but the best going forward. It is a very valuable resource of information and expertise. I'll still be around to utilize that aspect and stay in touch with many of the old guard and several of the new via PM or separate message.

I do have a couple of dogs left in the fight this season or this resignation would be effective now, but I'll certainly finish those out. Perhaps go out with a championship. That would be a fitting end. ....

Otherwise, I hope you all have a grand Christmas and New Year. Lefty, over and out. ...

Well, I was gonna wait till after week 16. But, ditto for me as well. I may not have the same deep rooted reasoning, but, for me, the shine is gone, has been for at least a season or two. My reasons are my own, and I don't care to get into them here, but overall, it just isnt fun like it used to be.

I'll continue on in D1 & D2 until suitable replacements can be found...I ain't handing over what I've built to just any old random tool bag, those of you still standing deserve better than that.

Win or lose, this will also be my last season as a MBBRL A or B member, suicide and coma included.

Well hell, I was going to wait until next year, but since you guys are making announcements I guess I will too. Technically I'm no longer a member of the regular league since I am up for oblivion anyway, but I will not be throwing my hat into back into the ring for consideration. I just feel like I've burned too many bridges at this point and there are several members that no matter what we just aren't going to get along, so I just didn't even feel like I could post on this thread this year because of it and that defeats the entire purpose of the league. I will not be doing suicide either which means I will not be running the A vs. B challenge any longer as well. I will be continuing on in D1 because I co-own that team with my brother and it's the only team we co-own together and I really like having "excuses" to talk to him. I will also be continuing to be the commissioner and run the vampire league because it was a lot of fun this year and I really enjoyed it since it's such a different league.

First off this sucks, but we knew it was coming from the posts in the summer for two of y'all.

I have been competitive in most every MBBRL league except this one and this is the one I tried the hardest in. It just seemed that all my bad luck hits in this league. I have had it as a goal to get back to the A league and win it. I wanted to do it with everyone still there.

Let me talk a little about last year 2018 and FF. My coworker in the same position as me and the big boss were going at it for a period of about a year and a half. Because he held the same position as me I was dragged into the fight and put into position of throwing my coworker under the bus or throwing my job away. Needless to say I was under tremendous stress for most of 2018. I ended up getting downsized from my job one year ago Tuesday. Which meant that I took a $200 a week pay cut after taxes which has put me under stress this year until I was able to get our bills to a point that we were good with. I bring this up to show what type of mindset I had during the 2018 FF season. Around April/May of this year when we started ramping up the Dynasty leagues I realized that I was up for Oblivion in the main leagues. It caused me to sit down and reevaluate the way I was living my life and the things I wanted out of life. It would be nice to still be making that money and I will eventually get the job back, but more importantly I still had my family as a support system and they were patiently waiting for me to return to my normal self. I learned how much this league means to me and how much it can help me IRL. I will say that the waiting period from me having this realization and seeing if I got DAS BOOT, was one of the longer periods of my life. So in ending this rant I sincerely hope this league and the Dynasties can continue and maybe be as great as they are now again in the future. To the 3 leaving you will be missed and it will take someone special to replace any of y'all.

Moving forward we will have to fill spots and fill spots within commissioner areas. I vote that those discussions wait until we have finished all the leagues for this season.

Going to be kind of strange next season minus all the stalwarts that are leaving. Hopefully you all still hang around the forums to post some and not be strangers. For sure you'll all be missed along with Average Joe who had step away from MBBR before the season started, glad he still keep posting. Good luck and don't be shy if you want to return at some point.

Love it obx! That's how it used to be for me as well. Hope you can keep that spirit, cuz for however long it lasts, it feels great.

Like I said, I'll stick in D1 and D2, for as long as it takes to find a replacement, or as long as y'all want me to. The dynasties are different levels of commitment, and I don't feel comfortable just walking away. At the same time, its odd to be in those and not the main one.
