What original is there to say? I like Ferentz. He is old-school and doesn't change, but he does produce good-great teams.
Only had 3 teams that went < 6 wins (1st 2 seasons and 2012). Few years later, when Iowa could afford it, he was on the hot seat and went 12-0.
But he never got an extension on a year he had less than 9 wins. Scott Frost just got one without having a winning season at Nebraska.

and I admire Ferentz.
He gets a half million bonus for 8 wins, and then wins 9 or 10 games once every 6 years and gets another 6 year extension.
Dude is a fucking genius.
