I would hope that some day a comment like this wouldn’t create so much backlash. Because like you said, it wasn’t malicious. Maybe eventually race relations will advance to the point that a naive comment like that can just be brushed off an ignored.

It won’t be any time soon, unfortunately. Too many People are out there looking for reasons to be offended.

like i was telling Mrs. CL a bit ago, when someone makes an intentionally racist comment, no matter HOW veiled, you can usually catch it above 90 percent of the time...

Have to say I get what msg is saying. Nice game on the ground by LJ. But hard to say a D was "tore up" in any way when they also held him to 100 or so yards passing. adding 59 on 16 carries is actually not very good. Less than 4 ypc.

a nice win for Bmore no doubt, but nothing more than a hard fought, close loss.

The difference between winning and losing was Lamar's ability to run.

The score of the game was inconsequential to my statement.

You can dominate and still barely win.

Example: Jordan once scored 69 points against the Cavs.

Yet, they only won the game by 4 points.

Jordan still dominated as a individual.

To put this in perspective, avg 6.3 per carry is almost a lock to lead the league in that stat every single year but yep allowing that is completely normal

No doubt we can all have opinions, but here some facts....seems like a bit of a stretch to say difference was LJs running. I mean, it's not like his ability to run opened up the pass for them. He barely had more than 100 yards passing. Their offense had been on fire leading up scoring 30, 37, 49, 41 and 45 points. I'd say 49ers did quite well to hold them to 20.

SF kicker was 1-2, Tucker was 2-2. That, my friend, is the difference in a 3-point game.
