hahaha teams that are ranked 25-30 are "boosting" the Big12 while the B1G has 6 top 25 teams and 7 top 35 teams. The SEC has 5 top 25 and 6 top 35.
Big12 has 2 top 25 teams, 5 top 30 teams, 6 top 35 teams.

It seems to me the bottom of SOME conferences is really, really bad.

It's likely because of who they beat. The really bad losses seem to be ignored. Like Georgia's.

I'm not a fan of counting "Quality losses", but the bad losses need more weight IMO.

to be fair, watching Wiscy all year you could see that the illinois loss was a abnormal and not indicative of the team. I get it though i am scratching my head why a 2 loss wiscy is ranked so high in the computer vomit too but meh

This is a collection of over 100 computer-based ranking systems.

Some were part of the BCS formula (Sagarin, Wolfe, etc.), others are used to gauge ATS betting guide ability. Some are done just for fun or exercises in math theory.

Just a bunch of programs with differing values whose output is collected and a poll created of the whole of information.

Because losing one game doesnt impact your resume as much as beating 3 good ones.

Utah and Baylor have 1 less loss but no wins that would be better than Wiskys 4th or 5th best.
