Anyone else totally sick and tired of comments referring to "Al Bundy's 4 rushing touchdown performance for Polk High in the 197x city championship"? I don't mean on this board, just in comments on articles across the Internet. We tend to get a much more sophisticated brand of sophomoric humor here.

The New York Jets have more penalty yards (880) than rushing yards (871) this season.

Dorktown: Bill Belichick keeps drafting good quarterbacks because he’s bored

More Stupid News...

I like the last graph which shows the career yardage for all the QB's Bill drafted after Tom compared to the career yardage of the QB's that all the teams that spent more draft capitol than Bill.

Meaningless, but interesting.

This is becoming real interesting. For the first time I am starting to feel this is Brady's last year. He has always said two things "When it stops being fun" and "When I feel I am not playing well" it may be time to retire. Well it looks to me like both statements are coming to fruition.

Last year BB drafted Stidham whom I feel is decent but not NFL ready. Now how do you get a decent player NFL ready you play them. But at this time I feel he is not ready. There are a lot of draft needs, mainly TE, RT, RG, QB. So I feel and I would like input that the Pats will draft another rookie QB and look to sign a vet free agent. Next camp could present a QB battle for the starting nod.

I also feel we may lose Dmac next year to retirement, and we could really use a good NT or DT.

I’m a fan of Stidham. Looked great against scrubs in the preseason. Not so great in his 5 or 6 plays during the regular season. But he knows the system knows our young WR’s. I would like to see what he could do.

TE is definitely a major need. One that can do both catch and block. Jared Pinkney from Vanderbilt would be nice. Not sure if he’s worth a 1st round pick?? Don’t have a 2nd rounder. Definitely won’t be there in the 3rd round.

The right side of the line needs major help.

A DT who can collapse the pocket would be great also. We’ve got some edge rushers. That big bodied power rusher would be awesome to have.

Another QB for sure. If Fromm or Tua(because of his injury) should fall to the end of round 1, I would be fine with either. Even (sorry but the name still makes me dry heave) Jacob Eason from Washington would be a nice choice. Big. Smart. Can make all the throws.

Last but not least.... a fucking Kicker!!

If Andrews, Cajuste, and Froholdt are all healthy next year and they can afford to re-sign Thuney and Shaq can get back to where he was the two years prior to this one then I would feel OK about the OL. That’s a lot of ifs, though. Center should be the top draft priority, IMO. The loss of Andrews has reverberated through the whole line and who knows if he’ll ever even be cleared to play again.

They also desperately need some speed on offense. A WR that can take the top off the D and a back that can beat defenders to the edge would help open the shorter stuff that this O thrives on. Alternately a true Y tight end and a healthy Develin would help with getting that power run game that served them so well during last year’s SB run going again.

And, yes, a kicker. And a return specialist. Ideally one of those speedy offensive guys. Hamler from Penn St. if he comes out would be awesome.

I like Eason, Fromm has dropped off in my books. I watch a lot of SEC football and his accuracy and decision making worries me a bit.

There is merit to the idea that Cajuste and Froholdt can help although I am unsure how much, or how much we really know about them at this point. The Andrews thing is interesting, I would think by now the Pats would have an updated status on his future. Bottom line if they are unsure any O Line is only as good as their center so agreed it would be a very high priority.

Develin is missed for sure I will be curious to see if they draft a TE or look in FA. Either way it's a position that needs and upgrade. And you are correct we have no WR that can take the top off the D, haven't all year less one game.

Another little fun fact:

The last time Jerome Boger reffed a New England Patriots home game, was also the last time the Patriots lost at Gillette Stadium (vs the Panthers in 2017).

I don't know if this is true or not because I can't find anything more on it..........................

Supposedly, according to one of my good sources, Steven Ghostkowski is already kicking footballs from a tee.
I have been trying to find anything or anyone who can confirm it, but so far, Nothing.

Heard that he was working with some kicking specialist in Glouster, MA.

Glouster, hell he should be fishing.

Can the Pats bring him back this year?
