Getting to the CFP hopefully would be more beneficial to recruiting than tanking.

Getting beat down AGAIN would suck, but at least we got there?

To be the man you gotta BEAT the man.

Nobody thinks we have a chance in hell. LSU gonna kick our asses back to the stone age.

Sorta like when the 101st was surrounded by Nazi's in Bastogne, we got 'em right where we want them.

1. LSU's defense has been shredded by offenses that can run the ball.
2. LSU's secondary has given up some big plays on deep balls. (HTF did Delpit win the Thorpe Award1?)
3. Burrow is at his best while on the move. Kenneth Murray says, "challenge accepted".
4. Oklahoma's defense is faster than any unit LSU's offense has seen in 2019.
5. LSU has a little too much "swag" going into this game. They've carried themselves as if they already won the Natty, the minute they beat Alabama.

I believe Oklahoma poses the biggest threat to LSU because this match-up favors the Sooners. Should be fun.

Every time I see a hopeless situation I remember something I saw back in college. I was walking from my apartment in Norman down to the Dairy Queen on Main Street and I heard a helluva racket behind someone's house. I walked around the house and saw a medium size bull dog sitting on his butt slowly swiveling to keep his face pointed straight at the biggest damn doberman pinscher you can imagine. That doberman was snarling and snapping and had obviously come over the fence like it was nothing. This went on for a couple of minutes and the bull dog wasn't making any noise (strange?) but he was clearly in a really bad situation. In the blink of an eye the doberman finally lunged and................that bull dog flipped over on his back and came up underneath the doberman in a split second.........grabbed that doberman by the throat and Would Not Let Go. The doberman could hardly stand up and made a little noise but that just got weaker and weaker. It took maybe 5 minutes but somehow, someway that doberman was dead as hell. I looked around and nobody but me had seen it. I walked away and figured I had just learned a lesson in life. Go for the throat, OU.

LSU clearly a good team with more talent. They're us with 10% better talent across the board.

We stood a punchers chance if everything went perfect leading into the game and Hurts had a perfect game.

This season was one of the worst in terms of injury-related attrition. Losing your RB1 and TE1 were bad enough, that coupled with Hurts' Jekyll/Hyde performances made it another "glad I went but didn't have the best time" trip.

20 years and counting...

See you guise next season. :suds:

What a fucking nightmare.

I got nothing to say other than everyone sucked dick. Burrow had a perfect game and hats off to him. Emotions were high for those guys. We never had a fucking chance. Total embarrassment.

Well I was wrong as all hell.

LSU's defense stacked the box, man-across, with single high safety. The boys in Crimson were completely manhandled and couldn't open running lanes. Receivers couldn't get open/time their routes with press coverage.

Oklahoma's defense definitely needed DTY and Perkins, but as a big time program, you can't be this inept when a couple of starters aren't on the field. Big time programs should be able to plug and play legit athletes. Defense was expected to take a step back yesterday, not be completely obliterated.

Bottom line is it's going to take 12-0 or expansion before Oklahoma sees the playoff again. Just can't consistently struggle with the physicality of SEC schools when on the stage. Needs to be addressed by recruiting bigger, meaner kids, instead of focusing so much on the speed and finesse.

Riley has some work to do. He's becoming Bob Stoops.

Lincoln has to decide if he’s okay with dominating the big 12 or if he wants to finally win us a fucking national title. If he wants the latter he’s going to have to cut the friendly nice guy bill shit out and get some dirt under his fingernails. In any case, I’m through hoping this team might reach elite status till they actually show me they can win one of these fucking games. Sooner magic can fuck all the way off. You make your own fucking luck.

Your last line is sickening and bone chillingly true.

I have followed Riley's comments like a hawk after the game. What I'm not hearing is stuff like "we coaches didn't do a good job at times during this season and we are going to do better", "we are going to work on our players not having enough discipline on the field and off the field", "our recruiting has got to get better and more balanced", "our fans deserve to be disgusted with us right now" etc., etc. There is no real contrition. What I did hear was "you can't judge us based on just one game". WTF? Yeah, actually we can, Riley. You're light years away from being a playoff quality team and this game not only cost us a chance for a NC this year but it's likely to cost us at least another one later down the road when we don't make the playoff based on our history of losing big and ugly in playoff/NC games. 7 times in a row, dude. Grinch is also saying how this game doesn't represent the true picture of OU's program. Gimme a break. Even before this latest catastrophe happened, we had just won our 5th conference championship in a row and Pee Wee Herman still out recruited us. Pee Wee! That is downright spooky. We went from the #5 recruiting class in the nation on Rivals to #12 this year. It's easy to over react after a loss like this; but it's deadly not to admit what this game showed us about our weaknesses and what we need to do to correct them. My biggest concern is Castiglione, Riley, Grinch et al. have the same "above it all", elitist attitude of Bob Stoops and they will stick with what is comfortable for them instead of doing what's really necessary to change the culture at OU.
