Would it matter, there isn't a team in the Big Ten worth a shit this year not named Ohio State. They are going to boat race Penn St. and Michigan with or without Chase.

...and before you Big Ten boo birds get all your panties in a bunch, I don't think there are a half a dozen elite teams this year....hell, I'm not sure there are 3. You could take the rest of those ranked down to about #35 and on any given Saturday...

I agree. The top 3 are the top 3 but after that there really isn't a lot of separation as you go down the list. A concern going into the season was that the gap between the good and great teams was widening. It might be going the other way.

To be fair this isnt a new concept. The whole point of the air raid was to allow good teams to alleviate the talent gap versus blue bloods. Right now I kinda think the move to athletes who can rotate between defense end and linebacker or linebacker and safety is kinda doing the same thing on that side of the ball.

Plus, in general the difference between star ratings is getting smaller. The 5* guys will always be there but the difference between a mid level 4* talent and a mid level 3* talent isn't that much. 20 years ago there was probably clear separation between a top 20 class and a top 30. Today there really isn't that much.

It really doesn't matter. OSU is going to nuke both PSU and Mich. I'd rather him play so OSU doesn't have an excuse if we pull off a miracle - plus, he's being suspended for something that's going to be legal anyway in the near future.
