kbso, my parents moved us from Philadelphia to DC in 63. I was young but was already a football fan. With Sonny (1964), Charley, Bobby Mitchell, Jerry Smith etc we had a lot of offense but little defense. Then came Coach Lombardi. We became relevant and it was great and eventually Coach Gibbs was hired.
I would say I felt down some after a loss but I always felt we can turn it around the next week. There is no hope under Snyder. The closest I felt like we came to that was when Cousins was QB.
There just aren't the Redskin fans that were once here. Maybe they exist but who wants to wear colors when you can't beat my old HS team? Hell, how can you get excited about anything. If you have a player like Antonio Pierce or Kirk Cousins or many others you let them go. It is hard to get excited when you feel like if they start to get it right they will screw it up again.
