I have always been clear that Nebraska needs to put more emphasis on O and D linemen.

It seems like skill players are always their biggest priority. Those said skill players are useless if you can't compete with P5's in the trenches.

It would be a stretch for me to say Nebraska's O and D lines are any better than Cincinnati, Memphis, Boise St, etc.

They struggled to move G5, Sun Belt, (0-6)(1-9), South Alabama off the ball.

SF skipped on OL his first class, albeit a transition class ‘18, Farniok was already N before fucktard Riley was shit canned. That’s really going to hurt next season, more so than it already is. There’s Fleck who scrapped together something in short order but man those #’s just don’t add up to me in the trenches idk

Gotta get to what Wiscy is doing. Starting Juniors/seniors, but not only older they have a lot of game reps because of blowouts. We r starting a redshirt freshman walk-on along with a bunch of other young guys. Hopefully next year there is less growing pains there.

In the offensive trenches.

C: (Frost) (RS) Freshman and a (Frost) (RS) Freshman
LG: (Riley) (RS) Sophomore Walk-on and a (Riley) (RS) Junior
RG: (Riley) (RS) Junior and a (Riley) (RS) Sophomore
LT: (Riley) Junior and a (Riley) (RS) Sophomore
RT: (Riley) (RS) Junior and a (Frost) True Freshman
TE: (Riley) (RS) Junior and (Riley) (RS) Sophomore

In the defensive trenches

NG: (Frost) 1st year Senior transfer and a (Riley) RS Sophomore
DE: (Riley) (RS) Senior and a (Riley) RS Sophomore
DE: (Riley) (RS) Senior and a (Riley) RS Junior

Remember Riley was not a good judge of talent.
He wanted an NFL first round Tight End (Noah Fant) to play Defensive End at Nebraska.

If Fant had come to Nebraska, he's likely selling insurance or cars right now.

For those screaming about firing coordinators and assistants. I say those coordinators and assistants inherited the same players Frost did. Same talent, culture, everything.
You can't defend Frost for not having time or his players and be bashing these guys too.

I'm tired of the Riley nonsense. If those players didn't want to work hard they would have left. Their mentality should have changed by now. There could be a few like that Carlos Davis nonsense from Saturday.

Many dipshits are calling for DC Chanders firing. It's too soon to fire him, I bet Frost gives him a long rope of 5-6 years to possibly hang himself. Frost never seems to watch the defense play as is. I will not get Chanders name right until he gets the defense right.

I have a chance to be off by 1 win on my fall pick our own team's record but could possibly be off by 3 wins (if we go 0-2 to end the season). So many people drank the silly B1G West Champs Koolaid. I did not, but always had hope for a better season and it still sux to see them lose. Huskers are now at the point where they are just like some teams that could have a good year every 4 years or so. Once more top to bottom talent is in the system things should change for the better.

I was in the fire Chins camp. I'm still not convinced that he's gonna be able to get the job done, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for another year or so. But after that, it's a short leash imo.

What fans are up against is T.O. saying that even though there were public cries for it, he never fired anybody as a head coach.

Frost is a disciple of T.O.

Honestly I can't see how firing a defensive coordinator would be beneficial. Riley fired his defensive coordinator after two years if Frost fires his after 2 years what recruit would want to come here knowing that their defensive coordinator can be changed twice in the four years that they'll be here

I agree. I'm haven't been impressed with the front seven on defense all year. The last few games the defense seems to me going through the motions they don't appear to me they really want to tackle. If they just tackle in last weeks game it might have been a different out come. This staff needs more time and needs to be able to get the pieces they need.

I wasn't calling folks out here, in fact I should have stated many folks on Facebook Husker fan group pages were calling for Chanders firing. If the D sux after Frost loads up on talent then it's most definitely time to address it.

Tom didn't fire coaches, he sent them to study up on the 4-3 as a dime package and sech.

Sent them to Florida St if I recall correctly.

I see people here, there, and everywhere, calling for Chinander's firing.

I simply ask them all the same question..... If you can make an excuse for Frost needing more time to recruit his players in and get the culture that he wants established, then why hold any coordinators or assistants to a different standard?

I get crickets.

If it were just the defense playing poorly then that could be a case made to me. However, it's not.

The offense isn't playing any better. They are 87th in scoring at 25 points per game.
To put that into perspective, the Top 5 scoring offenses right now are north of 45 points per game. They would be Ohio St, LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Clemson.

Nebraska's company at 25 points per game are UAB, Tulsa, Kent St, and Middle Tennessee.

Special teams gave up an 89 yd kick-off return to Wisconsin to negate a Husker TD and 7-0 lead 10 minutes into the 1st Q.

On the bright side, lost in the 'overall' mess, is that penalties are way down compared to year one.

2018

Fewest Penalties Per Game: 114th
Fewest Penalty Yds Per Game: 116th

2019
Fewest Penalties Per Game: 38th
Fewest Penalty Yds Per Game: 33rd

Baby steps.

The only corch I might be hesitant at this point is Walters. Year 3 is when I’ll be looking for improvements, anywhere, or else...!

On the bright side, when this thing we call Nebraska Football gets steam rolling the right way then all these poor performances now will make the future all the more sweet - now back to reality.
