BSU Coach Harsin sure unloaded on the ever-present criticism on social media.

My opinion, as a fan we can cheer or criticize all we want. But don't personally put down players, kids who are putting out their best. I'll say this, it's hard to second guess a team that is 8-1 and almost continually ranked in the top 25. And I can guarantee that the players know that he's got their backs.

Thoughts?

Boise State's Bryan Harsin not concerned with 'twitiots' on social media

He gets us 10 wins a year. Kinda hard to complain, but come up with more then 3 plays on offense for fuck sakes

First, BSU runs complex multiple sets and motions to disguise those three plays.
Second, BSU subs on almost every play, using personnel groups based on down, distance, and response to defenses. The three plays sure fooled me.
Finally, BSU has the best record in football this century. Those three plays must work awfully damn well.

First. I could give two shits how many sets and motions we run. Bottom line on first down the QB is going to hand the ball off to the RB and he is going to run the 1 or two 2 hole. Then on second down, we can sub all and bring in whatever group you want, but the QBs is going to hand the ball to the RB and he is going to run the 1 or 2 hole. I know it and the opposing team know it.

We are running a read option, the problem is we have no option. The QB always hands the ball off to the RB, instead of keeping it and running the option.

Then on third down, usually 3 and 8 because running the same two plays didn’t work we will throw the ball. We have a very talented receiver core so there is a good chance we get a first down.

Last night against NM was the first time since Mike Sanford left that I have seen creative play calling, but again it was NM. It was kinda like watching BSU football of the time line when Harsin was the OC. If he called the BYU game the way he called the NM game we would have won with ease.
We will see if we go back to the read option with no option against Utah st this weekend. If so we will not win

Yes those 2 plays win us a lot of ball games, punting the ball 25 yards is our third play.
That is one thing Harsin does really well, he recruits well, we have great talent that bails us out a lot when Harsin is getting out coached.

Lol different times

It's all about execution. If every player does his job, the play works. But no player grades at 100%. That's why plays break down. Choosing the plays that you have the highest chance for success is what play calling is all about.

When the defense has 8 in the box, you are probably are not going to have much success running a 32 dive from a spread set.

Coach gets his feels hurt by mean things he read on internet, has meltdown and flexes his muscles and pokes out chest after beating the Mountain West's New Mexico Lobos......who haven't won a single conference game.

Did I miss something? :scratch::noidea:
