Probably the best move for him football wise, but from a life decision, I just don't see how anyone would pass up the chance of getting a Stanford education. That's a hell of a fallback plan if you can't make it in the NFL.
He might be looking at it as being a much better place for him to prepare for an NFL career though, which he's right about. After football, with the money he could make, he could go to Stanford all he wants.
