Kaep chose to kneel at a Veterans Day celebration when they had vets from many wars on hand. People who had friends and family return to the US in a box draped with the flag he was protesting against. He should have taken that day off. It was very disrespectful to the vets.
The pig socks were pretty shitty as well. I know most cops find that very offensive.
The Castro shirt was in bad taste too.
His girlfriend brings an element I don't think any team wants.

He wasn't protesting against the flag, doofy. He was protesting the murders of innocent people at the hands of the crooked cops.

The NFL is clearly full of shit. They are only doing this to say, “Look, we gave him a chance.” That’s bullshit, why wait until he’s 3 years out the league, knowing it will be hard for him to get back in game shape. Then you will have the dumbass people say, “See, I told you he wasn’t good enough to play in the NFL.” Well duh, it would be hard for anybody to be good after being out for 3 years.

Also, the NFL knew what they were doing when they scheduled this workout on a Saturday. Why not consult with Kap’s representatives on scheduling this workout instead of telling him 5 days before that he need to show up and there is no rescheduling?
The NFL doesn't owe him shit. They shouldn't even be organizing this.

This is a "best probable fit" scenario more than anything else.

No question in my mind that Kaep is better than Hodges, and better than Paxon Lynch, but he's been better than Hodges & Lynch all season...why sign him now?

I'd doubt it, but with PIT playing on TNF, and a full 9 days until their next game vs CIN, that does free up Colbert/Tomlin to be in ATL Saturday if they want to be I guess.

OK, I lied, I said I was only going to post once in this thread.

I heard the NFL has done this because there are a couple of teams interested who don't have the stones to bring in Kaepernick for a workout of their own volition.

This way, no one team breaks solidarity with the rest.

OK, now I'm done with this thread.

Stinson is an idiot.

The NFL is throwing Kaep a bone that they don't have to. They are not doing this for other players not signed. So it is not on the ideal day for Kaep. Suck it up buttercup, you are the one who came out saying you still want to play.
Of course he's an idiot. All reporters are but he is right about what a screw up this is and it is comical.

It's not a screw up though. The NFL is giving him a shot on their terms. I would be more disappointed if the NFL catered to him more. They guy has already milked millions out of the NFL, why shouldn't they make it inconvenient for Kaep?

NFL: 11 teams committed to attend Colin Kaepernick workout

"We are looking forward to Saturday's workout with Colin," the league said in a statement. "Eleven teams -- Arizona, Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Miami, New England, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay, and Washington -- have already committed to attend, and it's only Thursday. With two days remaining until the workout, we expected additional teams to commit. Former NFL head coach Hue Jackson will lead the drills, and former NFL head coach Joe Philbin will be in attendance as well. We will send video of the workout and interview to all 32 teams, including head coaches and general managers."

Surprised Chicago and Cincy aren't already committed.

They haven’t even committed to attend his workout and yet they’re the favorites?

Ok
I think it's about what @ATL96Steeler alluded to that he just looked at rosters and went from there. If they wanted him they'd have signed him when Rudolph went down.
