If it's a publicity stunt, it's on the NFL...the way I'm reading into this is the NFL is orchestrating this workout.

I don't know- it appears the NFL is involved somehow, but that the announcement and organization of practice is done by Kaepernick and his agent:

In the end, it will again come down to whether Kaepernick is willing to play for backup money, especially considering we're in the late season and teams aren't exactly flush with cash for $18M/yr deals.

Fake news. His handlers are the same people who tried to steer the Jussie Smollet hoax. They came up with the whole story (hoax) when he got spotted kneeling in protest of being benched. Fortunately Kaep is as bad of an actor as Jussie is and never played his part with any believability (wearing pig socks etc...)

Why is the NFL doing this for Kap? Why not hold a workout for Manziel, Tebow etc. ..... any other Qb who would like to get another shot? It would be funny if a bunch of recent former Qb's would get together and sue the NFL, for colluding to keep them out of the NFL, while trying to promote certain players.

The NFL is probably doing this due to some legal action in the future. They are evem dictating the day he can workout. ESPN mentioned Atlanta as a team interested, but they also said the coaches and GM wouldnt be there since its on a Saturday and they would be preparing for the game on Sunday. Its all a stunt. Nobody is going to sign the guy.
