Focus on the game ahead!

These guys are good so need to play with less mistakes. As usual, to start with NO turnovers and few penalties.

No injury excuses, whomever is playing needs to play well.

Can someone actually catch a pass without Kittle and Sanders? Can someone actually block someone on the line so the run game can get going? Can Garoppolo get over his skittishness in the pocket that has suddenly re-appeared?
I'm not feeling good about this one. Without those players this is an average team

of course you don't feel good about this one, you don't feel good about ANY game. You're a Dark Cloud for a reason every games is "the sky is falling". Granted you were correct one out of nine times. :-)

That's true. I'm super optimistic about things I can control because I am extremely confident in my abilities. With things I cannot control though, like my sports teams, I tend to be pessimistic because these professionals have let me down so many times. You can just feel that this team is snake bit. Too many critical injuries piling up and an injury to your kicker......... in practice? That just is not possible but yet it cost the 49ers a game when it happened to them. Then you've got an excellent coach who just completely bungles the OT period. How does that happen that he reverts to the level of a bad high school coach in that situation?
As for predicting only one correct game out of nine...... You may recall I said they'd be 4 and oh after the bye. And then predicted after the Ram game that they should be 8 and oh going into the Seattle game. The only games I thought they'd lose in that stretch was the Rams and Seahawks. I also predicted after seeing the schedule come out earlier in the year that they'd finish 10 and 6.

No i don't recall this, all i keep getting out of your posting is "the sky is falling". Every single post is Chicken Little. Anyway, you are entitled to post however you want to and yes i don't have to read it

Sorry but i don't believe you're super optimistic even on things you control.

Yes you do. You even commented something to the effect of "I like the confidence".

Looks like Kittle is out for this game too. Seems initial reports were understating the extent of his injuries

Apparently, Shanahan misspoke to the Ariz reporters. It makes sense too....why would SF tip their opponent this early before a game regarding the availability of their best offensive player? Having said that, I don't expect him to play. I'd like him as ready as possible coming for a big stretch against some top notch opponents, but I also recognize that the Cards can present some problems, and Kittle is a problem solver.

If both Kittle and Sanders are out....

Sanders out as well. That makes the Cardinals the favorite in this game. A one-dimensional 49er offense will be easily shut down in this one. Depending on the D to score for you is generally a losing proposition but that is what they'll need on Sunday.

Niners get a defensive touchdown and win this one 16 to 14. Back on a roll.

I wonder what Kittle's issues are. I know he has knee and ankle issues but I never came accross what happened to both only that Shanahan said Kittle's injury is more serious than Robbie Gould's.

As bad as it looked on that play I'm amazed he was able to gut it out for 3 quarters and still be effective. He's a warrior but more than likely, playing on that knee did more damage to it and he's out indefinitely. The fact that they are being so secretive about it makes me think he may be gone for quite some time.

Hopefully they get the running game back on track. Seattle was loading the box daring the 49ers to pass. Now it turns out Seattle's linebacker was bragging that they were able to decode the 49ers audibles which were tipping them off about the plays they were going to run. If true, that was a stupid thing to brag about. Shanahan is now making changes to make sure that it doesn't happen. Another of the wide receivers other than Samuel needs to step up.

I'm not sure either. Kittle can battle through injuries, as he's done for his whole career, so this must be something where long term can be really affected. I'd rather he sit and be good to go for the long haul.
