Oh he makes mistakes. He made some bad throws tonight. They said Gallup dropped the one at the 2 yard line. I’m not sure Rice catches that one 2 out of 10 times. He took a bad sack that cost us 3 points. All QBs make mistakes. I just love the way he leads our team.

That QB sneak was a hard ass run and one that AMVP wentz could never make.

I agree that Amari is a stud. That was another brilliant route on that 46 yard completion.
Good route, but what a perfect throw too. Yes, Dak had a nice pocket and no one near him and Cooper was pretty open, but when he steps and throws on those deep balls they come out perfect more often than not. Kudos to the preseason work on those throws it is paying off big time and totally opens up our offense.

On Cooper trade. I've said this over and over but I was dead wrong on that. I thought it was a huge mistake but it has been an incredible trade for us. Look at Dak's stats since he got Cooper. They are up there with most anyone in the league.

Yeah that was ridiculous and then on the replay they stood by it. No one makes that catch. Seems WRs get blamed for drops anytime they touch the ball...

Good time for our bye. I know we want to play another game after that big win and keep the momentum going, but we are still banged up and a week off should do us good. Tough schedule from here on out. If our OL and WRs get healthy no reason we can't put up points with anyone. Still worried about this defense stepping up though. Maybe last night gets Tank going and A Woods back has made a difference.

I agree but all QBs have throws they would like to have back. I think he threw 27-30 times last night. Maybe 3-4 were off target. Much better than his counterpart for sure. It’s been like that every week. 3-4 throws out of 30 that are off target is exceptional.

Yeah, I thought you were just talking about that one throw which is all I was referring to. Just pointing out to blame Gallup is weird as you'd have to be Stretch Armstrong top make that play...

Good time for the bye... and a good time for the staff to assess what this team is going into the 2nd half of the season. Digest what works as well as how to avoid the issues associated with those three losses.

I’d really like to see some consistency going forward. The defense was terrific last night against a team that insisted on shooting themselves in the foot. There will be teams in the future less erratic but the D showed what they are capable of with an inspired effort. And somehow that offense from last week needs to manifest itself on the road against quality opponents. Because when it does, it’s a damned tough offense to stop.

That’s on the coaches. So we shall see...

I know if you can't overcome one injury you can't win in this league and I get why the caliber of opponent comes into play, but let's look at the losses. It's a recurring theme. NO I think is better than we thought. They are 6-1 and 5-0 without Brees. Winning in their house was a tall order and looking back I think you can say we did well to be in it until the end and then for end we lost Tyron Smith. GB 6-1 - no Tyron Smith. Doesn't look like such a bad lose because of how we were able to come back after such a shitty start. Jets - no Smith or Collins or Cooper or Cobb and Gallup didn't look right and still may not be after his injury and Bradford played one of his best games ever. Still need to win that game but it's a recurring theme with struggling without T Smith as Dak was beaten up all day. I keep saying I think Martin is our best player and probably the best OL in the NFL, but maybe it's still T Smith who is our best player and is also the most important player on the team, other than Dak? It's seems to be the same thing every year when he misses games

I hope we extend Quinn. We got something good with the combo of Quinn and DLaw.

Yup. Meant Darnold. I read about the guy every day and was at the game, you'd think I'd at least get his name right :poke:

Yeah, Dak is way better on that deep throw down the sidelines. He obviously worked on that. What is amazing is how quickly we saw chemistry build between those two. Roy William's and Romo were rarely on the same page it seemed.

IMO the bye could not come at a better time. We have a difficult schedule ahead and we will get more healthy. Cooper, Smith, etc.. will get healthier. We need all hands on deck.

Idk about y’all but I’m still sick about Sean Lee dropping that pick at the end of the game. Him getting a pick six would been some great shit.

But this team just needs to be consistent and stop doing dumb shit and what’s crazy is it’s all fixable. It’s not a question of talent but a question of discipline and that’s the ONLY thing that’s holding this team back imo. With the players this team has we should be competing for the number 1 seed along with Green Bay and New Orleans but because we fail to do the little things like holding on to the ball or securing the catch before running upfield, we’re gonna end up playing wildcard weekend most likely and that’s disappointing. Last night proved that if we just stay disciplined, we’re a legit top-3 team in the league, we just need to stop fucking around and act like it and hopefully this bye week gives us a chance to chill and figure out how to keep the momentum going.

And then I see Patriots 17 - Jets 0 and just get mad again.

But your point is well taken.
