teelers LB Anthony Chickillo was arrested Sunday morning on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
Chickillo's arrest occurred Sunday morning at 1:40 AM local time at the Lady Luck Casino in Farmington, Pennsylvania. Police allege the Steelers linebacker got into a heated argument with his girlfriend (who was cited for harassment), resulting in a physical altercation in their hotel room. Chickillo was arraigned shortly after and released on $10,000 bail. "We are aware of an incident involving Anthony Chickillo last night and are still gathering information," Steelers Director of Communications Burt Lauten said in a statement. "Until we have further details we will not provide any further comments." The Steelers were on bye this week.

This guy is a back up, and not really a good one...average at best.

I'm looking for a release statement soon from the Steelers.

Shitty situation for him to involve himself in, and their relationship has been volatile before. Surprised me that they got back together last year.

But as terrible as this sounds, I'm glad this happened. ONLY because now the Steelers should be forced to cut ties and move on. He had no business being the OLB3 over Ola Adeniyi this year. Another one of "Tomlin's guys" that they held in too high of regard for.

FREE OLA!

As @thedddd said in the team forum, this situation could have been avoided in the offseason if they chose to go with Ola & Tuzar Skipper (both have a higher ceiling). Instead they keep Chick and lose Skipper to the Giants.
