He'll play but be at 85% with probably just one week of restricted practice. If LSU can get pressure on him early and cover the quick slants it could be an advantage.

He had 28 days after the last surgery and 2 weeks of practice. Alabama lost the game.
Whatcha talking about Willis? Alabama BEAT Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl after his December surgery before they lost to Clemson @ Santa Clara. He was basically PERFECT in the Orange Bowl: 24/27 for 318 yards and 4 TDs and the Victory.

Tua could have thrown for 4 TDs against OU last year from a wheelchair.

Gotta be honest, I love Tua but if I’m an NFL GM I’m not touching this kid #1 overall. He is too fragile. Which is why I think he needs to come back next year and prove he can get through a whole season healthy.

Too fragile? Did you see how his ankle got rolled up today underneath that defender? Ain’t nobody not getting hurt from that.

Has there ever been a release that says

"Dude we totally fucked his ankle"

Feels like a redundant statement

So is ankle surgery in Alabama actual surgery or placing a brace on the ankle?

good question.
A better question is if they perform a Hemorrhoidectomy in Oregon, does this mean they get rid of the entire person? or just the mouth?

Medical wifey sez that surgery sucks. It holds those bones together so the ankle doesn't fall apart. However, the pressure from what's basically a zip-tie around your ankle leads to arthritis, bad swelling that always has to be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs, etc etc. Old people who get that done are warned about the side effects...much less a kid.

Tua will be immobile in 5 to 7 years, tops. I'm sure Bama's surgeon failed to mention much of that to the kid.

You’re “sure” of that? What, are you fucking clairvoyant?

I guess you “knew” LSU was going to smack that ass as well. How much did you bet on it? Given wifey’s obvious gifts, you should have plenty to burn.

Hey! I don't think you should underestimate my obvious, fake compassion for that young man. You know where I learned how display fake outrage.

I heard this kind of surgery will eventually lead to amputation of his right leg.

He's gonna have to watch that shit in Atlanta if Florida wins out. I think those zip-ties make it fall off easier.

From what I’ve read recovery time for a high ankle sprain is 4 to 6 weeks. If all goes well that timeframe would have him possibly returning for the Belk Bowl.

Morale of the story.

Don't ever trust a doctor from Florida
