The Falcons looked like the same subpar team from last year. Can't block, can't rush the passer, can't run the ball. Is tbis going to be what the Falcons are, just another pitiful team?

The Vikings are good but they aren't world beaters. We should have been able to win thsi game.

Agree on MIN not being world beaters....solid team.

3 new OL starters, 2 of them rookies in a loud dome...I thought they might struggle running the ball, but 3 turnovers gave them 2 short field scores and that killed the running game....They played bad, but the DEF wasn't terrible imo.

Task doesn't get any easier this week...PHI might be even better than MIN, but get them at home.

My expectations are not good for beating Philly.

Huge game for DQ...primetime.

That OL needs to show some big improvement in a short amount of time.

Sure hope that happens.

Are we the only Falcons fans on tbis site?

Got the W thanks to Julio....and Sanu and Matthews, both outstanding blocks on that play.

There are a few more, lol...but the Falcons board has always been a slow.

Far too many.

The good...beat TN at home this week, and they're right back in it....NO is not running away with Bridgewater running the show.

The bad...back to back years, they gotta figure out how to do it w/o Neal.

Yea losing Neal sucks. Got to stop the bonehead penalties. Matt's got to stop throwing it up for grabs. He knows better and is doing it anyway.

Falcons are terrible. Another sorry season. These guys remind me of going to the circus and seeing the dwarfs get out of the vw. Except it's not funny.

You know it's not your year when one of the more reliable kickers in the NFL gets cut, then coaxed back out of retirement and he misses his 1st XPT of the season last night after all the work done to tie the game.

Needless to say that DQ is in trouble....win the next two at home, or write off the rest of the year.

Consider it written off. DQ is just trying to keep his job now.

It's heading that way.

You mean the rest of the season I assume?

At this point, I don't see a way for DQ to keep the job. IMO it was playoffs or bust for Quinn. Aside from losing Neal which they had no control over, these two moves they did have control over.

Vic Beasley, and Isiah Oliver....Vic has 1.5 sacks thru 6 games, and Oliver has been torched repeatedly. Both of these are hand picked Quinn guys and they are not bringing much positive to the DEF at all.

The team is continuing to play hard and that might get them 6 or 7 wins, but no playoffs...personally I wouldn't allow Dimitroff another HC hire.

We are competing for the number one pick at this point. We're just crossing our fingers that the Skins and Phins accidentally win a few this year.

I guess the notion that something for him is better than what they're getting now, but To think they are putting Vic Beasley on the market now is an absolute joke.

Maybe they get a 6th or 7th rounder, but because of his cap hit and lack of production...I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get anything for him.

With CIN, and MIA giving the Tua chase their best effort, WAS and ATL could be in position to get a plug and play starter, but wow...who saw this coming in ATL?

Yeah, I think they have two options. Ryan still has some time left and it makes sense to pick up an extra future first rounder if it is possible at all. The other one (and I hate to say it) is draft a QB and get as much for Ryan as you can from a desperate team.

The thinking behind trading Ryan is that we aren't in a "win now" scenario where we can pick up the necessary pieces to compete. If we keep the cruise control on I don't ever see us being in a title contention position before Ryan retires.

Today is vent day on sportstalk. I couldn’t listen for more than about 30 mins and I had to turn it...but fans are pissed, as you can imagine. I heard trade Ryan, basically everybody but Grady.

Ryan, this reminds me a lot of the NYG...I don’t think the floor should ever be a anything less than 6 or 7 wins if you have your franchise QB. Well, that’s happened on Matt’s watch much like it did Eli’s.

Granted, Matt has had a lot of OCs, and he’s put up good # w/o having stellar OLs but with the trio of WRs, Hooper and Freeman...this OFC is embarrassingly bad at times this season.

So...yes, I’ve said that to say, I would trade Ryan if I could get a good ROI.

They can go 6-10 or 4-12 with much less cap hit at QB.

If they decide to keep Matt (which they will most likely)...then you can’t nimble on the OL...buzzard’s luck and learning curve on the right side, but whatever they did at LG is not working.

IDK who the right guy is at the edge, but it’s not Beasley. Tak is a #2, not a #1 edge rusher. They’ve got to get an edge rusher and they are right back in it with a good HC.

I think NY is a pretty good analogy.

As you already know, I've never been big on Freeman. I'd say cut him yesterday. Does Alex Mack have any value left? If so, trade him ASAP before it's gone.

If we are going full rebuild mode it means focusing on the trenches. The offensive line needs to be fixed one way or another and we need a pass rusher (or two) from the next two to three drafts.

No matter what we do with Ryan, we aren't going to win anything or do anything notable in the next 5 years whether we rebuild or go for a "win now" approach (which I don't even think is possible).

On the bright side, we have a shiny new stadium. That counts for something right?
