Much like more people working than at any time in history. Barring a huge economic downturn, that number should top out frequently each year due to population growth.

And yes, median income is at it's highest level ever could be said at the end of the 13 of the last 14 years.

It's certainly not the neighbour's "fault" but personally (I think and hope) I would have acted differently in that situation. It doesn't seem to me from the info we have that the neighbour thought that a gun was needed to assess the situation so why did he make a call for someone who's always carrying one? Everyone is so fucking scared to handle anything themselves these days.

The neighbour did call the non-emergency police phone # though ... if he thought it wasnt an emergency maybe he should have checked the situation himself? Ive read he does feel like it was his fault.
