That is what is so crazy about the sports media today...they're so starved for the next superstar that they jump on the 1st sign of success and run with it.
The commercials are cool, but they look kinda out of place now that is appears Mayfield should to be focusing more on his day job...like how to look off the free safety or something.

So now he’s struggling, and everyone wants to anoint him a bust after 6 games.
He’s played like shit, that’s incredibly obvious. There have been plenty of quarterbacks struggle in their first few seasons and managed to turn it around.
Hell.....Peyton Manning threw 43 interceptions in his first two seasons.
81 in his first four seasons.

I really liked the guy when he was hired and seemed like someone you could cheer for. His act wore on me quickly. Even before the season even started.
I don't like Grossi but loved that he kept on Freddie after that absurd answer.

I guess I just find it odd the amount of enjoyment people are getting out of this. I don't find myself rooting for people to fail. I tend to take enjoyment out of top teams losing don't get me wrong but I can't recall a mediocre team getting more hate than this year's Browns.

That chip got him where he is....he could've just folded when he was a walk on and accepted his role. He didn't do that. Is he over the top? Yep. The Browns desperately needed an identity and he's giving them that. I'm not worried about his stats from this last game he was making way more good throws than he wasn't. It will come for him.
