Newton has been really shining so it's great that the depth was there. Hope Ahmed can come back and get rolling again, but the run game appears to be doing what it needs to do.

Newton looks like the new downhill back and has had some success. So far the biggest test was 9 carries for 42 yards against Cal's defense.

UW will need him on 3rd and short and we can all hope against some of the tough defenses coming up that he can continue to develop.

They still need Ahmed who can stretch the defense.

All right I'm going out on a limb again and I believe they keep this high scoring offense going and roll SC.
I think with Eason dialed in right now and the running attack ( this should be a balanced attack this week Bush!)

Defensively their young! They are going to make mistakes and we saw that. But Coach K and Coach Lake will make the adjustments and coach these guys up where they don't make the same mistake twice in a game.

I'm feeling pretty damn good about this team, Cal loss was a freak game, which I believe was the turning point for this team.

I won't blindly dismiss this game. We are starting that middle 4 game stretch that will define their season.

How much was UW favored by last time USC came into town and stole a win? They have a ton of talent and size. Sure, UW should still win, but it's not a gimme.

Followed by a late night road game at Stanford. A team that is down with injuries, but also has nothing to lose and can still play defense at home. All they need is Eason to force a ball that gets picked, or a receiver to miss a catch that gets picked. I just don't trust them on the road yet.

Then a back to back road game against Arizona. Can't let Tate rattle off 150 yards on the ground. No tackling issues that game.

Ending with the ducks at home.

That will be the 8th straight game before their first bye week.

If they can go 3-1 over that stretch they will be fine the rest of the season.

Im not expecting 4-0.
