Week 3 LOL thread

We are averaging 39 points a game against P5 competition and we have played vanilla on offense in all three. The closest we have came to showing our hand on offense is when we utilized Etienne in the passing game vs A&M and the toss sweep against Syracuse. Our defense is stoning opposing offenses. Why in the hell would we want to show upcoming opponents what we are capable of on offense when we can beat the shit out of folks playing vanilla? Remember last year at halftime of the championship game when Saint Saban was whining about us doing things they hadn't seen on tape from us that other people had done? Yeah, that was cool. How'd that turn out for you guys?

Well, to be fair the only time your defense has stopped our offense is when we had a limited QB like Kelly Bryant so I'm not sure what you think you have going on. We always start slow and hear "What's wrong with Clemson's offense?" early in the season then light folks up in the playoffs, including Bama every year Kelly Bryant wasn't the QB.

Why would we want to put stuff on tape for future opponents if we can win big, like we have, playing vanilla?

Perhaps if you hadn't put that quick out route on tape when you didn't have to last season when you were running over everybody we wouldn't have jumped it for a pick six to open the scoring.

No need for the stupid ass hyperbole. Nowhere have I said we are the best, nor assured of being champions. All I have done is stated the facts....we've played vanilla on offense so far this season and we've beat the doors off of three P5 teams. Lawrence has made some mistakes, they have yet to cost us because we have the best DC in the game today. We aren't putting anything on film other than using Etienne in the passing game and the toss sweep that anybody hasn't seen from us before. Georgia Tech schemed to shut down our passing game so we ran them to death. Texas A&M schemed to take away Etienne so we won it with our passing game and Lyn J Dixon. Syracuse schemed to take away our run game up the middle so we took it to the perimeter with the toss sweep. We've adapted each game and have blown all three P5 opponents out. We have Charlotte this week.....guess what....we are going to be vanilla then too.

...and nowhere in 10 fucking posts have you addressed the comment I made about Lawrence, which has nothing do to with your vanilla offense. You should get on your knees and thank God that Dabo is not as dense as you are.

It's a math thing with the lower tier teams in the P5 conferences. You need 6 wins for the bowl game payoff and for teams like Illinois you can't count on much more than 3 in conference.
