I would suspect that The Chiefs would have to give a couple number 1s to get Ramsey. I get the contract thing makes him less attractive but he’s still a great player.
Maybe. Very possible. Could be 1,2 and change. Ramsey is a weird asset.

it would be dumb for the chiefs to give up a lot for one partial season of Ramsey. They won't be able to afford to re-sign him. He's going to demand huge dollars.

KC Makes a lot of sense to me. But you have a perennial Championship Game losing coach how will Ramsey help there?
A bit like saying Belichick is a perennial loser in Cleveland for my liking.

If you had a coaching auction for 2020, Belichick would go 1, and Reid would be 2, 3, or 4.

And would they get a comp pick if he leaves? I mean a shot at a SB cheap deal for part of a season then a comp pick? Why not?

They could trade him in the offseason. That would make the most sense; that was the Rams' plan with Mack last year before he went to the Bears.

They could tag and trade for a 2nd or even a 1st on the right desperate team with someone as good and valuable as Ramsey if it came to that. They'd get more than a comp pick for Ramsey.

What he's been to six Championship games and one SB is that correct? So it's quite different then what BB did in Cleveland.

My point IMO it makes great sense, a shot at a SB this year, a chance to re-sign him or get trade value next year. Seems like a win / win to me.

Ramsey has 1 cheap year, this year, before getting paid huge money. Massive difference. Apples and oranges even. Though Oakland has so much cap they might think it worthwhile I guess.
Read an article this morning that mentioned the Raiders as one of the top 5 possible destinations for Ramsey. Pats, Chiefs, Browns in the AFC and the Packers in the NFC. I think the chiefs F.O. will be all in on this. First because of the need and second, they really don't want the Pats to get him. You never know if some dark horse is out there on the phone trying to get him but it really looks like these teams make sense.

6 games vs how many in Cleveland? Let's think about that statement more carefully.
Not games slick, stop now you're trying to hard. We are talking Championship games here don't try to water this down with some asinine and moot point.

The Pats do not need Ramsey.

Does anyone else ever wonder why the Pats are always associated with some big name player?

We're really putting a lot of negative stock into games started by

*checks notes*

Donovan McNabb.

Reid is not all of the sudden a bottom tier coach because the month turns to January. That makes no sense- and is just ad hoc nonsense, imo. We got a large body of work that pretty clearly says he's a very good coach. Does he come out on top all the time? Obviously not- but his record in CCG's is really a reach when most coaches don't ever get there to begin with.

Of course they don't "need " the guy but BB would do some shit just to fuck everyone else up. Bring him in for 1 year at a discount, get him a ring, then send him to the Jets fir their next 3 first rounders or some shit. :D

if the Chiefs do sign him, he will be the guy to make sure linebackers know where the line of scrimmage is located.

That alone is a superbowl appearance.
