Me too. But it was an awful short-term view that we had at the point. Can you blame us? We just lost our HOF, franchise QB. It will take a while before people start to understand this trade.

Hold on... This is still Keith Tomlin's defense. Nothing has improved on that front.

Steelers moved way too quick. If trheyhad waited 15 minutes they could have had AL-Pro Jalen Ramsewy of the Jags. He wants out after getting into a fight with the HC during the game Sunday.

Two teams have have already started the move.......49ers and Chiefs. Don't be surprised if the Patriots don't stick a toe in the water. Last thing BB wants to see is Ramsey in Red and White.

Ramseey and Gilmore with McCourty in the slots...........

Ramsey wants crazy money. He's looking for a blockbuster deal. Pittsburgh doesn't have that cash to throw around right now.

Also: He's also someone who is a little too AB-ish for our taste anymore.

Also, also: Cornerback isn't a need right now. Safety is.

Steelers don't have the cap to sign Jalen long term. This move was MUCH more team friendly. Grabbing a stalwart defender while giving them 4-years of leverage on the player. Plus the Steelers don't get stuck with Fitzpatrick's $10.5m signing bonus, and are only paying him ~$2m per year. That's tremendous.

rather have minkah, cheap, and control for 4 years........ramsey costs a ton.

With Chick in a walking boot, that means Ola gets to step up as the first OLB off the bench. Means he actually gets some snaps.

If he plays well, maybe that means he starts eating into Bud's snap count.
Chick wasn't ever gonna be the guy who pushed Bud for his job.

If Rudolph stinks and Ben doesn’t come back...they will be in the running for one of the top QBs....almost every bad team will already have their guy....lol

Fromm needs to step it up to be a sure fire 1st rounder this yr...maybe somewhere in the 20s

Yeah I agree. But all those guys r coming out next year most likely! We don’t have that pick now. FWIW. I was horribly down on Rudolph and the pick. But I think he’s the real deal. We’re gonna see a budding star.

We’ll see if they all do...

Imo...It would be nice to have a backup plan to Rudolph...but if he bust, 2021 should be the year

If you think Mason is the guy then DE, WR, or S would most likely be the pick in 2020...they get a head start on that pick up it’s Minkah

This could provide some welcome relief. Both in short term & long term needs at the position. Bud in contract year SHOULD NOT be resigned, since it is downright criminal how much they are paying that guy. If Ola steps in and take the job by the horns, then we can erase OLD/edge off of next year's draft needs.
