Positives so far:
Tavai looks like a good pick
Walker has been awesome
Ty Johnson looks like a steal

Negatives so far:
100% of all the special teams
If we replaced Flowers with Ansah would the result be different? I say this knowing Ansah has not played yet.
The rest of the over-priced dline

Actually A'shawn had a very good game for a change. Got give Flowers a few games to get back to form. He had no camp at all.

I have to believe that Flowers, Hand, Robinson, and Daniels will eventually pay dividends. However, none of them are really built for the pass rush. Most sacks will probably come from elsewhere, while they mostly fill gaps and absorb blocks.

Two games into our renewed focus on running the ball with an offensive coordinator who knows how to "call a run game" (whatever the F that means)....... and two games of under 100 yds rushing in designed runs.

Good thing getting rid of Cooter and bringing in 4 new tight ends was all the offense needed.

Yes but now the offense scores more points then they give up.

Everyone but you and 1 or 2 others accepts that it is a new offense and will take a few games to get going. I think @Big_Blue_72 posted it several times in the preseason. The first quarter of the season the defense will need to carry us. Also, the offense will take what is given to them. They wont run just for the sake of running. The entire league knows Bevell likes to run the ball so they will not just be able to sit back in a nickel defense any more. The O-line is also not been consistent run blocking. It wont happen overnight.

Okwara has been disappointing so far. Kennard and Jones have picked it up though. I would like to see more zone blitzes too.

I have wondered if Davis could shift to the outside as a pass rusher. He has all of the athleticism that you would want for it, but I don't know how long it would take to add the ability to get passed blockers. I am not near football savvy enough to make a guess on it. Just seemed like a good fit.

Don't put this shit offense on me even though I might be right when I said that the early week 5 bye will come just about at the right time.

That was my way of saying he isn't mediocre, yet.

Nine more games to set a career high!

there's always hope he breaks that career high.

I guess.

I wouldn't bet my valued SportsHoopla bucks on that if it were a prop bet (not that I win in that area either).

Stafford is in the Top 10 list for comeback wins after the Chargers game. He could be #1 in Lions history for making a Super Bowl. But fourth quarter heroics are more important than the Lions fan base.

Detroit Lions top Week 2 PFF performances: Offensive line impresses

Three out of the top five performers on offense came from the front five, with right guard Graham Glasgow leading the way from those three. His 88.5 grade is a reflection of how solid he was both in the running and passing game. According to PFF, Glasgow allowed just a single hurry against the Chargers, and his run blocking grade was an impressive 88.2

Frank Ragnow wasn’t far behind with a 79.7 overall grade, and he, too, only allowed a single hurry on the day with no hits or sacks. Both Ragnow’s and Glasgow’s performances were good enough to land on PFF’s Week 2 Team of the Week.
