I see your point on one and two but 3 I dont understand? "You cant fall down and get a penalty"? A 300 pound man running at you full steam and drives his shoulder pad in your back isnt a penalty? You cant block guys in the back.

You are right about the illegal man downfield. On the Eagles board they said the LOS is where the guys foot is in the middle of the picture so you are right and Im wrong.

And Im not really calling that a pancake. A 325 pound guy barreling down fiel like a run away frieght train and drives his shoulder pad into a 190 pound mans back isnt a pancake.
It's a legal block. If it weren't then every time someone goes to block you just turn around and draw a penalty. Just because he goes fetal doesn't mean he can't be blocked.

Nope, I can post 3 penalties on that one play for you. Lineman 5 yards down field before the pass, both blocks were blocks in the back. But I’m not blaming the refs. I’m sure we will get breaks this year too.
The one that really hurt us was the Wentz 2 point conversion. He runs for the end zone dives in head first and the call it “QB giving himself up”. Jeez that was bad. Well if he did that why didn’t Atlanta get penalized for hitting him then. We would have been down 3 instead of 4 on that final drive.
The Agholor drop on such an easy catch plus other plays is why we lost though, but there was 3 penalties on Julio’s TD

So go look at that video. As soon as the ball is hiked he runs right down field.
Your video did prove it was a screen though, so again, I think Im wrong. I didnt know the screen rule and he did catch it behind the LOS.

You're almost there, one more step and your home.
At the 3 second mark Ryan is releasing the ball and Matthew's is right on the LOS. If you look at the NFL rule posted, players can be 1 yard past the LOS.

:L

The collective IQ of that board must be lower than Wentz first half passer rating.

A former referee was on the broadcast explaining it but PE1 had his fingers in his ears screaming la la la so he couldn’t hear it.

Also, @fordman84 and I both called it immediately that he was touched down before the goal line. They never got to that bc by rule he was down.

It is true. For one it was a block in the back and 2nd he was 5 yards down down field which is illegal too. But I’m not blaming the loss on one call. There were several Eagle issues that lost the game
I was responding to your specific comment. First You said he hit him before the pass. He did not.
Here you say he was 5 yards down field. He was not. As a matter of fact when the pass was thrown he was at the LOS.
Block in back: Watch in slo-mo. When he was a yard away they were squared up. At the last second the defender kind of turned on him. That isn't a block in the back.

Crickets...

In gridiron football, an ineligible receiver downfield, or an ineligible man downfield, is a penalty called against the offensive team when a forward pass is thrown while a player who is ineligible to receive a pass is beyond the line of scrimmage without blocking an opponent at the time of the pass.
No one was downfield. Matthews was at the LOS when the pass was thrown.

Ignore my last few posts. I was late to the party and can see now everyone agrees there was no penalty

So I am going over the last 10 pages or so and am scratching my head. Are we seriously talking about the screen pass that Julio Jones scored on? It was the perfect play call, perfectly executed against a blitz the Eagles idiot DC did not know how to disguise.

He disguised it as well as he had the other blitzes, which were numerous. He is a one trick pony, and ATL figured it out and made him pay. Did you see Ryan's eyes light up when he saw them in the exact same defense they had been in the last few plays?

I am probably one of the few that thinks Jim Schwartz should be fired. He has one blitz package and it is always up the middle. I am racking my brain trying to figure out the last time I saw him call a blitz from the outside. I am sure he has but I just can't remember it. I think I have seen him call a few stunts but not too many. His Dline using a wide 9 technique that tends to get torched from time to time.

Earlier I admitted I was completely wrong after I saw Mansters video

The real question is why did you claim it was not a pass behind the LOS BEFORE you saw the video? Once again you proclaim something to be true without knowing all the facts. That’s how you roll though.
