Simple question (and I apologize if this has already be asked) but

Which team is more "screwed" with their QB going down?

Steelers or Saints?
I was just inquiring as to when you completely lost your fucking mind?
Bring back Hammerdown?
That's like asking to bring back Smallpox.

the easy answer is the saints...

The Steelers were not seen to be a Superbowl favourite,

The Saints were...

so the saints are more screwed...

With that said, I think that the saints will do better with Bridgewater than The steelers will with Rudolph

Is Taysom Hill going to start now or is Sean Payton finally ready to admit that he's only been doing that shit for the last 2 years to piss off fantasy football nerds?

On a side note, when I saw the Steelers traded for Minkah Fitzpatrick last night there was that split second where I read it and thought they had acquired "Fitzmagic"

People are basically judging Teddy because he was thrown in the game with basically no practice reps with the 1's on the road against one of the best teams in football lmao.

You guys can't possibly be this silly.

Damn near every backup will fail in that situation.
brady 5/10 for 46 yards in relief of bledsoe:suds:

Saints have a D that will keep them in games Steelers not so much

steelers. bridgewater is less of a step down from Brees than rudolph from Ben.

Brees hasn't been able to throw the ball more than 10 yards downfield for quite a while now.

Screwed how? For this season, or into the future?

Saints could have been a contender, and might narrowly make the playoffs, but only if Brees comes back and is healthy.

Steelers didn't look like champions this year. My guess is that Big Ben is done and will hopefully retire before the draft so Pittsburgh can look for a replacement.

Drew Brees has a 75% cmp pct. of passes over 15 yds (air yards) this year. LOL
Only one with a higher pct. is Nick foles but is only 2 for 2 before his injury.

People trying to spin things like he has lost a step, his arm is weak, has been quite funny to me.

Brees is 6 of 8 over 15 yards.

Maybe most impressive right now is rivers (he has a lot of attempts with a good cmp pct.)
Rivers 13 of 20 65% 1 TD 1 INT

11 QBs has more completions but only 3 of them are above 60%

Rivers see above

Dak 8 of 11 72.73% 4TDs 1 INT If ball does bounce out of cobbs hands for INT would have been 80%
Brady 8 of 11 72.73% 2 TDs 0 INTs

other QBs over 60%

Gardner Minshew 5/8 62.5% 0 TDs 1 INT
Jacoby Brissett 5/8 62.5% 1 TD 0 INT
Nick Foles 2/2 100% 1 TD 0 INT
Luke Falk 2/3 66.67% 0/0

Most of the guys with a lot of attempts have poor cmp pct. since they are weaker teams in desperation mode.

on a side note
the Phenom with super arm talent is
5 of 17 29.41% 2 TDs 2 INTs (Eli has a better pct. :heh:)

I would just post the entire list every week, but havent figured out how to post the pic of it on here.
Tried in week 1. But apparently I am too stupid to figure it out LOL

Anyhow Drew brees was accurate as fuck over 15 yds last week
he & Rivers were 6 of 7 over 15 yards. 85.71% Which is the point I am making. IF he didnt go out at start of week 2, he probably be top 3 in comp. over 15 yards with a high pct.

We could also look at last year for a bigger sample size since he didn't play much this year
well I didnt track it last year so that would be a lot of homework to start from scratch LOL

just saw this on another thread. Obviously it was after week 1 because Mahomes was on the least side but did nothing but throw long in week 2 (16 times)
but here it is (shows Drew Brees throwing more air yards than most the NFL) of the 4 only Brees had a good cmp pct.
Very telling

looking at 2018, Brees average intended air yards was way low compared to other starters. Their offense now is most definitely dink and dunk. Brees doesn't stretch the field as much as other QB's.

not sure what I was staring at. But I will take your word for it.
thing is the Saints were a balanced offense. Dink & dunk is most good teams nowadays. Unless you are always plaaying from behind no reason to do it a ton.
My question is. How well did he throw, when he did throw over 15 yds. Is he still good at it, or was he struggling?

PE1 was saying Dak sucked at the long ball because he didnt do it a lot. he didnt have too. Not doing it a lot doesnt mean you have a weak arm or cant make the throw. How successful you are when you do it is a way better barometer.
