I am 100% sure that if they decided to trade away their young guys, and trade future first round picks, and decided to "go for it" they would be right there scrambling for a playoff spot in the bottom of the East playoff picture somewhere from 7 to out of it.

That is just simply what you dont get and either - are wilfully ignorant of- or are just plain stupid.

The Cavs could have done what the Heat have done the last 3 years--- trade away a bunch of picks, sign a bunch of mediocre free agents and fight for the 7th or 8th seed.

Its just an incredibly stupid way to conduct business and its why Riley is no longer fit to be a general manager in a game that has simply passed him by.

As far as the Heat, please stop, the Heat didn't trade away any huge potential future pick(s) in order to chase a player that would make them mediocre.
As much as you suggest it could happen, you can't turn back the clock and you can't predict that Bosh's career would be ended right after he signed a max.
