Chicago Bears Superlative Predictions for 2019: Who will be the breakout guy?

As you read thru the various opinions for breakout player in 2019, you'll see a sizable variety of worthy names. But my take is since we only have one player to name for having a breakout season, I can't think of anyone remotely close to Trubisky being that guy. Sure, why not have a number of players have a breakout season. But if it can only be one, it has to be Trubisky. With the talent we have on this team, if he has that special season, we can just about book our tickets to the Super Bowl, or at the very least the NFC Championship.

Ha Ha. Everyone's dogging him and he's just gonna be given so many opportunities to snatch turnovers. When the articles are written about how "somehow the Bears defied the odds and had a similar/more turnovers than the previous epic season" he'll be at the center of them.

I'll switch it up and say Allen Robinson and Roquan Smith.

I think Smith will actually benefit from Pagano. He is gonna have decent sack numbers this year.

I wish they'd start him opposite Robinson, and put Miller in the slot.
Problem with that is Arob and Wimms are both hands guys and Nagy likes to get too cute with matchups. I would do what you said, but I think Nagy feels Wimms will be ARobs cost efficient replacement down the road.

I think no matter what Robinson and Gabriel start the season as the two wideouts, if for no other reason than by default. Now I want to say Miller plays in the slot and I think that will be the case, but I'm a bit concerned that he's spent a sizable portion of camp and the early preseason in the infirmary. No one serious issue, just several things that unfortunately have added up. Chances are I'm making more of it than I should but for devil's advocate sake, let's say he's not ready to go on opening night. Do you guys think Wims could fill the bill there - or perhaps slide Gabriel over and put Wims on the outside?

Me I think Wimms should be there full time.

Smith will be a huge beneficiary of Pagano. No doubt.

I think Floyd will too. At this point, he is what he is. He's a very good OLB when healthy. Not great. However, he could have a big impact this season. IMO

Smith is my pick, though. I think he's gonna absolutely soar this season and for a long time to come.

IMO, Miller is a great pick to break out offensively if he's healthy. However, it's beginning to look like he may be one of those guys constantly battling something. A plague that has haunted many sub six foot WR's.

If he is healthy, there's no question to me as to whether or not he's a full-time player. We'll see how he fairs.

Trubisky is the obvious choice on offense. On defense I'm really pulling for Leonard Floyd. Because if he lives up to his expectations, this defense is going to explode.

If Floyd lives up to his expectations....this defense could break records.

I think all Bears fans feel if Miller can put together a full, healthy season, he can be an excellent receiver. He certainly has the skillset and the mindset. It's those damn nagging injuries that have me a bit concerned. And at this point, only a bit. Let's see how '19 plays out.

It could be a lot of players.

Floyd is playing for the team option that would be a big raise for him. Money talks and it’s basically a contract year for him.

Smith has the whole offseason and preseason to prepare as opposed to his holdout last year.

Haha has a contract year. It’s a prove it deal and he will be playing next to Eddie Jackson. We will practically have 2 FSs starting this year.

Trubisky is an obvious choice after a year in nagys system.

Anthony Miller has a shot at it. He’s supposedly healthy and playing with both arms.

Allen Robinson could be the break out player. He’s got a year of experience in the offense and with Trubisky.

David Montgomery could be the starter and three down back by the end of the year. I’d consider that a breakout.

I’m sure there are plenty of players I am missing.

Pinero or whatever his name is... The kid did well, including a 58 yarder in the Colts game.

Feeling relieved.
