Seems like a person in this board did not approve of FO assessment of Willie in Darvish trade

I thought we got a meager return yes and we didn’t do a good job of driving the price up on a solid #2.

I was expecting Verducci or Buehler, but the dodgers are a smart organization and it’s hard to get anything good out of them. They didn’t even make any deals this deadline for crying out loud.

In addition, Calhoun was a pretty raw talent when we got him. The rangers farm system has actually helped develop him into a good player.

Walker B is a generational pitcher. Was no way in the planet even if we had many bidders we would get him. I always thought Willies hit tool was huge, gifted. Still he is best suited as a DH albeit improving

It’s not as crazy as you think. If the dodgers were desperate to break their World Series dry spell (1988) then they should’ve paid a premium.

We should’ve at least got verdugo, but yeah at least Calhoun has panned out.

The rangers seem to have the worst luck sometimes. When we were trying to compete 2010-2016 it was always a sellers market and now when we start rebuilding, it’s been a buyers market the last few years.

Yes and Santana could’ve easily slid over to 1st or 2nd. We also have forsythe.

Santana and forsythe were outplaying both Guzman and Odor at the time. Calhoun was hitting better than both Guzman and Odor as well.
