Kick Returners

Got my draft tomorrow night. 12-team PPR and IDP league that scores kick/punt yardage same as rushing/receiving.

Any starting DB that return kicks I should target? And what about RB/WR?

I've been slacking with depth charts.

Definitely gives a bigger boost to DB's then to RB/WR's, depending on your IDP settings. If your just starting "flex" IDP's, I'm not so sure it gives them enough to justify them over a high volume LB. But if youre starting actual DL, LB and DB's, or even better yet, CB & S, yes absolutely that's who I'd target.

As for the WR/RB...that could be a factor that determines between two otherwise equal options, such as maybe you take Tyreek over Evans for example (not even sure if 'Reek still returns?) but I wouldn't go overboard about it. Just so rare that any significant production comes out of the return games

IDP we only play 4. DL, LB, DB and a flex.
Lockett still returns kicks and usually goes a round early.

Can't tell you how many years I rode Pacman Jones as my DB.

Andre Roberts seems to have it locked down in Buffalo. Not sure that makes him draftable though.

Maybe Ellington in TB.

Lockett is by far and away the most valuable given his receiving yards and his return yards (Nearly 1700 yards combined last year.)

According to the Football Guys, these are the other most valuable starters who are earmarked to return kicks:

2) Chris Moore
3) DJ Moore
4) Dontrell Hilliard
5) Nyheim Hines
6) Jamaal Williams

As far as IDP goes, Adoree Jackson is labeled to return both kicks and punts. I'm sure I'll be able to get him in the last round of the draft.

had a league with return yards when years ago

took Wes Welker at the end of the draft multiple yrs when the Dolphins thought he was a return man that could play a few snaps in the slot, vs a slot god that can also return a few kicks

I'd shuffle Mecole Hardman to the top of your list

should the chiefs D suck again, lots of shoot outs again, might be enough to flash some receptions to go with his return duties

Think he’s looking for defensive players who return kicks, trying to capitalize extra points
