The suspension is a result of a 2017 incident in Wisconsin, when Kendricks was cited for marijuana possession as part of a traffic stop. In July 2019, Kendricks was sentenced to six months' probation, and if he performed eight hours of community service, the charges would be dismissed.

As @jeffphowe first reported, Patriots starting center David Andrews was hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs and his season is jeopardy, a source confirms. Earlier today, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels referenced how Tom Brady would be working with different centers.

How does a healthy appearing young man suddenly have blood clots in his lungs?

So:

Mayo Clinic

Pulmonary embolism
Overview

ds00223_-ds00429_-ds01005_im01276_mcdc7_pulmonaryembolismthu_jpg.jpg

  • Pulmonary embolism
Pulmonary embolism is a blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in your lungs. In most cases, pulmonary embolism is caused by blood clots that travel to the lungs from the legs or, rarely, other parts of the body (deep vein thrombosis).

Because the clots block blood flow to the lungs, pulmonary embolism can be life-threatening. However, prompt treatment greatly reduces the risk of death. Taking measures to prevent blood clots in your legs will help protect you against pulmonary embolism.

Symptoms
Pulmonary embolism symptoms can vary greatly, depending on how much of your lung is involved, the size of the clots, and whether you have underlying lung or heart disease.

Common signs and symptoms include:

  • Shortness of breath. This symptom typically appears suddenly and always gets worse with exertion.
  • Chest pain. You may feel like you're having a heart attack. The pain may become worse when you breathe deeply (pleurisy), cough, eat, bend or stoop. The pain will get worse with exertion but won't go away when you rest.
  • Cough. The cough may produce bloody or blood-streaked sputum.
Other signs and symptoms that can occur with pulmonary embolism include:

  • Leg pain or swelling, or both, usually in the calf
  • Clammy or discolored skin (cyanosis)
  • Fever
  • Excessive sweating
  • Rapid or irregular heartbeat
  • Lightheadedness or dizziness
When to see a doctor
Pulmonary embolism can be life-threatening. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience unexplained shortness of breath, chest pain or a cough that produces bloody sputum.

Bruschi had a hole in his heart and came back.

But that was Teddy Fucking Bruschi.

Additionally, if memory serves me correctly Bruschi was never really the same after he came back from that.

Statements I've heard are that the patriots have placed him on IR and will not even think about bringiunghim back until next year AND if only the Cardiaxc Spoecialists at Mass. General even consider it.

As Johnathan Kraft reportedly said last night, no one's life is worth playing football. Patriots will take care of anything that he or his family needs or wants.

Brady absolutely loves this guy and if you've ever watched any game, Andrews gets first hugs on any TD pass.

As far as football is concerned, next man up appears to be Karras.

Andrews was apparently standing on the sidelines during practice today.

I'll take that as a good sign.
If he has to take a year off or retire I'm good with that. Life is more important.

That said he will be missed even if it's only four games. I love the guy.

I think Tedy would have come back from a hole in his head too. I think Tedy came back as a whole lot more than a shell of himself. Yeah, he had some decline, but was that age or the combination of age and coming back from an ailment?

Maybe he had more decline than I noticed because his return was inspirational? I do think he remained a decent and viable NFL caliper player.

Let's worry about the threat to his life first.

I'm not implying you're not. I'm just putting some perspective out there.

Yes I'm more concerned about his life. He got immediate treatment so he is likely fine.
However, the constant bruises are a danger and a cause of this condition. he is likely on blood thinners and cannot risk playing football. Next year? Getting off the meds so he can play is probably a risk......
