None other than the first round pick EJ Manuel!
Doh! Never would have guessed that! I will put that in my back pocket for future trivia use. :)

Tom Osborne was undefeated against 85 different coaches.
There were 10 coaches he never beat including 0-2 against Don James ( @AlaskaGuy ) and 0-3 against Jimmy Johnson.

That is an AMAZING stat. He definitely dominated Iowa State during his tenure, but the Cyclones could actually win from time to time. Earle Bruce won back to back games (1976 and 1977), and Jim Walden found the trough once (1992)-* vs. Coach Osborne. Looks like Donnie Duncan and Dan McCarney are on the list of 85, although McCarney beat Nebraska a few times (2002 and 2004) after Osborne retired.

I was at that game!

I’m guessing you were at the 1992 game? That was their only conference loss that year.

Jim Cryner was also 0-4 at ISU against Dr. Tom.
Combined 22-3 against ISU.

Even more amazing, he was 71-0-1 against Kansas, Kansas State & Oklahoma State.

Makes ISU’s 12% winning percentage against him look good.

I did forget Jim Criner! So, the Cycloens contributed 3 of the 85 HCs on the list! Right on about the 12% was good compared to most of the others!

Yes, I was at the 1992 game. The Cyclones had a great game plan and executed it perfectly + Nebraska was flatter than a pancake. Tommie Frazier's only Big 8 loss as a starting QB. He was awesome though with a big run (on a gimpy ankle) and that sideways TD pass he threw with a couple of Cyclones draped on him. But, of course, the day belonged to "Marvelous" Marvin Seiler, a 5th year Senior making his first career start due to multiple QB injuries!

UCF owns both the title of Greatest Turn-Around (2 year period) in NCAAF history and the Most Up-&-Down FBS team since 2000.

Only team to shut out the Urban Myth.
Even Alabama couldn't do that, but they did hold Urban to 3 FGs in his 2 visits to Bryant-Denny Stadium with the Gators (31-3 in 2005 and 31-6 in 2010). I was at both of those games. :)

They have to be legitimate to count....so no.
You mean like:

2009 BCS Champion and 1979 AP / UPI National Champions
1978 AP National Champions
2017 CFP Playoff Champions
1926 NCF National Champions
2015 CFP Playoff Champions and 1965 AP National Champions
1964 AP and UPI National Champions
1973 UPI National Champions
2012 BCS Champions and 1992 AP / UPI National Champions
2011 BCS Champion and 1961 AP / UPI National Champions

You might not like the results, but they are as 9 / 10 are legitimate as you can get (AP / UPI / BCS and CFB Playoff). 1926 NCF was a Retro, but they did play in the only Bowl of the day (Rose) and Undefeated Alabama played Undefeated Stanford to a 7-7 tie. Alabama and Stanford are regarded as Co-Champions from that season by many.
