You changed the whole question around to add Danny Green with Kuzma then compared that duo to Eddie Jones. That's a whole other question, man. The question was eddie jones at 26 and Kuzma now, who would you pick?

Since Eddie Jones' position is already ably filled by Green (and I don't have a time machine), I clearly take Kuzma.

The Kobe for Eddie Jones and Vlade Divac came much earlier then that dumb ass trade for Kwame Brown. That said, Kobe brought the Lakers 5 championship titles and Jones brought us nothing and never brought anyone else even close, so if I had it to do over - I would still take that trade because I know what we will get. That would have been interesting though to have Shaq Oneal, Eddie Jones and Vlade together. Nick Van Excel, though was a waste and if there was no Kobe to trade for, then Shaq for Caron, Lamar and the other dude never gets done. Then we most likely never do the Kwame trade and it's an entire new deal that is totally unknown.

Eddie was not traded for Kobe. Eddie was traded for Glen Rice, JR Reid, and BJ Armstrong. None of those players lasted with the Lakers longer than a season. Van Exel was traded for Lue and Tony Battie and went on to post career numbers in Denver. Van Exel's replacement in Fisher was already on board, so that wasn't as bad as the Jones trade, but it was still poor value.

Receiving less touches with AD and Lebron dominating the ball will have a detrimental effect on Kuzma's game in both production and efficiency.

Kuzma will most likely play starters minutes, but lead the second team as the 6th or 7th man. If AD isn't going to play big minutes at C, then Kuzma gets pushed to the 2nd team except perhaps in a game-closing lineup.

You realize though that Kuzma has played mostly 4. And the Lakers have Anthony Davis and Boogie Cousins for 4 and 5.

Kuzma can play the 3. LeBron can play 1-4.

But I would much rather have a 2/3 than a 3/4 given the Laker’s current roster. It just fits better.

A hypothetical lineup of:

LeBron
Jones
Green
Davis
Cousins

Is a lot more versatile defensively than:

LeBron
Green
Kuzma
Davis
Cousins

F. Kyle Kuzms
F Anthony David
C D Cousins

Cane used EJ 4th year because Kuzma is entering his 3rd year. Eddie Jones like Kuzma can play SF so he was actually comparing the 2 in almost the same exact stage of their career. Both could also play the SF.

Your comparison was god awful. You basically listed all power players and compared them to a PG. As mentioned before Eddie Jones could play SF just like Kuz. It isn't a bad comparison at all if we are being honest

Look, perhaps I let this go further than I should have. That's my bad.

But again, in no way is this a legit thread.

First of all, two decades apart, two different kind of players. How many power forwards were expected to take the 3 back in the 90s? While they both could play the SF position, Kuzma has played the 4 or 5 for most of the last two years. We're talking about a SG that could play the SF position vs a PF that could play the SF position. It's like saying Magic COULD play the center position, and he has, but if you were going to start a team and had to pick a 5, I doubt anyones first choice would be Magic.

And it's not in the same stage of their career. We're looking at 4 years of EJ experience compared to 2 years of Kuz. That's twice as much. Age difference is 4 years too.

I disagree on this. I get that any Cane thread is suspect. Any Cane thread about the Lakers, Heat, Lebron, any player who has left the Pacers, or any player who doesn't handle his career in a way that Cane approves of, is even more suspect.

But we compare players from different eras and positions all the time.

Kuzma is not a power forward.

He is a combo forward. A wing/stretch 4.

There is nothing “power” about his game.

He plays the 4. Call it what you want but traditionally they're referred to as Power Forwards. The game may have changed but i'm old fashioned that way.

We do. But most of those discussions end up with arguments and they always end up with "well, we'll never know"

Todd knows this.

We had a Shaq vs Wilt thread about 5 years ago that spanned through dozens of pages and not a single person agreed with each other.

The fact that cane abandoned his own thread should tell you something about his own belief in it.

Not to mention the fact that Eddie Jones is the clear answer to anyone with a brain.

It’s like arguing over who is smarter men or women when it’s obviously men.

Eddie Jones is 47. He's not the answer to any question about the NBA in 2019/20.

there is also no D to his game--- and he will be exposed at SF even more than he would at PF. If Kuzma has to guard SF's its gonna get UGLY.

You have a little crush on Kuzma, you are always defending him..LMAO

I was also 'defending' Jordan in the other thread. Funny how that works when a post is made about two players and you have to make the argument for one of them.

But as you taking about 'crushes', let me ask you a god-honest question though: Would you let Lebron fuck you if the opportunity were to arise?

We established earlier that you were a freak but didn’t know the extent. Wow, wild fantasies including Bart, I see that Kuzma isn’t the only one you have a crush on but unfortunately I’m taken. You might try pornhub to fulfill your freaky needs next time, Bart isn’t into dudes anyway. However, the next time you are baking cookies, you can send me a few.

You didn't answer my question. Your reply shows me how triggered I got you.

How about you try to man up and answer the question: Would you let Lebron fuck you?

I think the answer was pretty clear. Wow, Bart is a little embarrassed about how persistent you are to create weird sexual scenarios with me and other dudes but I guess you're like your hero Jordan, you don't stop until you get what you want. Sorry, though, I'll have to pass, as I said earlier I'm not gay and I refuse to star in your fantasies.
