I didn't see much crying by ESPN in the article. It seemed pretty even-keeled.

Good grief. College football in Texas hasn't even put one frickin' team into the CFP yet.

But we are good at shit like Hook 'Em, Gig 'Em, Guns Up, blah, blah, blah..........

Put it into content. Texas owns the soul of Nebraska, and they will never forgive Texas for not giving it back.

Mack Brown isn't wrong in complaining about the guns down thing. I understand it is a 'gun' gesture, but can we be adults about this? This is college football, they should be allowed to celebrate, it is the professionals that should be held to higher standards.

Horns down is cool.

Guns down is cool.

U down is cool.

If a team tries to use the cross bones in the same way, that is their prerogative. Of course, as a fan, I wouldn't like it, but oh well. Players don't like it? Don't let them whoop on you.

I could not care less about this. The horns down sign may be a sign of derision and disrespect, but it's directed toward the football team, not the school itself (unlike teams that do disrespectful things during other schools' alma maters). Since 2010, Texas' average record has been 7-6. They've been ranked twice, never won the Big 12 (and only been in second once). Their average Big 12 ranking has been fifth, despite the Big 12 being down and being the fourth best P5 conference during that time. Finally, they're 3-7 against Oklahoma. They're currently ranked 36th in recruiting for the 2020 season. And on top of all that, we've had to deal with Texas fans proclaiming they were back every preseason before they lay another egg, and now they're talking about some mediocre QB like he's Tebow.

The horns down sign doesn't disrespect Texas football. Texas football disrespects Texas football.

man that Husker mind when it comes to the Longhorns...that's some deep level pain and recrimination. Get over it, grow up and kindly shut the hell up. Better yet, move back to the Big12 or get Texas to move to the B1G. What a bunch of crybabies

Got it right about espins though, I'll give ya that. Fuck them for making this a "thing" and stoking the fires of all simple minded. You know, those people whose mindset is driven by bullshit pop culture, 20 second sound bites and the National Enquirer.
