Yeah, we should totally ignore what Wilson does for that rushing offense. lol

I must have missed the day at football school for dummies where they taught "raw team passing yardage" as being the best metric for measuring a team or QB's passing success.

3,453 yards 35 TD's (8.2%) 7 INT's (1.6%) 110 QB Rating 65.6 CMP% 8.1 Y/A

What an afterthought, indeed.

They were 22nd and 24th in rushing between Lynch and Carson's breakout year.
we both can play numbers all we want. But you never relent on your point of view, and become quite condescending

The thing is tho Wilson being great is what makes the running game work, teams have to respect Wilson and then they can run a lot when Carroll wants to.

Wilson may be in the bottom of the league in pass attempts but hes tops in the league in most major categories which is amazing with how little he throws it

Wilson is the Hawks offense. I dont care what the stats say. They are a sub 500 team without him.

Really man? I think we've had like 50-75 discussions now without incident. lol

Saying Russell doesn't run that offense is silly and you're smart enough of a football fan to know that. Which is why I was surprised.

I do not think you can play numbers here. I think your numbers are played out. It was one statistic.

Exactly. Russell has been their entire run game for years since Lynch. Even then, he was a huge part of making it go.

It's not a shock that with SOME competence at the RB/O-line position that they saw a big breakthrough.

That offense is all Russell.

funny they had the #1 run game,

18th overall offense
3448 passing yards
2560 rushing yards

27th ranked passing offense
#1 rushing offense

seems to be they run the O through the run game........and the passing game is a limited afterthought

They went 10-6. He was the only guy to throw a pass and was 4th in carries and rushing yards.
His #1 receiver was a former UDFA, who retired this offseason.

Are you Percy Harvin?

Id rather have Wilson than Favre.

Both will play thru anything, one doesn't selfishly chuck it all over hell.

Exactly...

What the fuck does that even mean? Can we just say that shit when we don't like a QB now? Can I get in on this? Lol
6th in scoring as a team last year.

Year before, he was the only guy with more than 1 rushing TD. And led the team in carries, with double the rushing yards of anyone else on the team.

That's obviously insane, Elway is the most overrated quarterback of all time and Marino should be in the top three, and depending on your definition of greatest quarterback of all time he could be #1. Marino is the best quarterback I ever seen play, Tom Brady is the winningest quarterback I ever seen play.

Steve Young at 15 is ridiculous and Brees in front of Marino makes the list a joke.

Starr has the best post-season record of any QB in NFL history. You need to get your facts straight.
Quantify best?

Starr is one of my favorites. He had some great teams during the middle of his long career where he won two SBs. The start of his career was awful W/L wise. So was the end.
9-1 in the playoffs is great. But 10 appearances in 16 years doesn't scream top of anything.
2-0 in SBs with 3 TDs to 1 INT doesn't scream top of anything.
What his overall #s say is he was very very good when he was surrounded by a great team.

Interesting list.....obviously not how I would rank them but whatever. The first thing that did come to mind is that Drew Brees is simply way too high. I like the dude....been a great player. HOF player.....but he is not the 6th best QB in the history of the NFL. No way do I put him ahead of guys like Rodgers, Staubach, Marino...and maybe even guys who didn't even make this list.

Somewhere on a top 25 list of all time QB's, the name Dan Fouts should appear.

Serious question why wouldn't you put him above Rodgers? What has Rogers accomplished that Brees hasn't?

Please refrain from any comments about talent around them. That's been beat to death by the AR apologists without success.

5 NFL Championships plus 2 SB wins in a span of 9 seasons. That is what I'd call exceptional.
Quite laughable comparing NFL Championships to SBs. That's like comparing ABA titles to NBA titles.

Well yes he was the only guy to throw a pass, and still ranked very low.

Yes, I’d assume rb’s were carrying it more.

You’re gonna argue Doug Baldwin isn’t suffice based on draft stock some years ago.

Come on......

Marino having Tom Olavidati ie spelling what ever his name was, that guy was the worse D-coordinator in the history of football. His defenses looked like a 7 man flag football defense. I know Shula was always loyal to his assistants. Not firing him cost Marino a SB or 2.

If it only weren't for those two seasons cut short due to pesky thumb issues, there is no doubt Andy Dalton would be on this list. Oh well, he is young and will be on that list by this time next season.
