Not including the ones mentioned...

Not a huge fan of Verlander but his 2011 was very nice. Maybe not top 10 worthy but it deserves a mention.

Roger Clemens 1990 - 21-6 1.93 ERA 209 K's. 2nd in Cy Young
Roger Clemens 1997 - 21-7 2.05 ERA 292 K's
Lefty Grove 1931
Randy Johnson 2001 and 2002
Tom Seaver 1971
Jake Arrieta 2015 - 22-6 1.77 ERA...2nd half of the season 12-1 0.75 ERA is pretty crazy
Dwight Gooden 1985 - 24-4 1.53 ERA 268 K's
Walter Johnson 1913 - 36-7 1.14 ERA 29 CG's, 11 Shutouts 0.780 WHIP, 259 ERA+
Koufax 1965 - 26-8 2.04 ERA, 384 K's 27 CG's 8 shutouts, perfect game, Cy young, WS MVP
Babe Ruth 1916
Moredcai Brown 1906 - 26-6 1.04 ERA, 253 ERA+
Christy Mathewson 1909 - 25-6 1.14 ERA, 26 CG's, led league in FIP, ERA+, WHIP, H/9, BB/9 and SO/BB ratio

Which one is the greatest or what would be a top 5 list? (I won't include anything earlier than 1950)

Not in order my top 5...
Bob Gibson 1968
Pedro Martinez 2000
Roger Clemens 1997
Dwight Gooden 1985
Sandy Koufax 1966

Greg Maddux 1995 (shortened season is close too)

Arrieta 2015 22-6, 1.77, 235 ERA+, .86 WHIP, 236-48 K to BB, No-hitter. Not sure if it's too 10 all time but definitely one of the best this century if not the best ( 2001-present)

I'd also throw in 1999-2002 Randy Johnson (four consecutive seasons with an ERA+ above 180, pitched at least 248 innings each year)
