Once Brohm left is when things really went to shit.about 2 seasons.
And the new fake rivalry is replacing South Carolina with A&M.To be honest, OP, I kinda wish Arkansas WOULD go back to the SWC. I hated that whole fake rivalry with South Carolina, just because they entered the league together.

I went to a "rave".
It was held in Fayetteville around '93ish if I recall correctly. A group of us from Tulsa went, as some dj's from here were booked at the event. Mostly gabber dj's...which is a vile form of music. They had inbred goth rave zombies there. Lots of good acid and nitrous though...those inbred goth rave zombies know how to party.
I never want to go back. I saw some things there that are better left unspoken of.

Northwest Arkansas has grown a ton in the last 15-20 years, thanks in large part to Walmart and Tyson money. One of the fastest growing places in the country now. The rest of the state is pretty bland for the most part. NWA will likely have a higher population than Little Rock in about a decade.
At least we have history with A&M in the SWC. The whole "rivalry" they're pushing with Missouri is dumb.
Right now we're so bad in football we wouldn't be competitive in any conference, but long-term we would have had moderately more success in the Big 12 than we've had in the SEC. In 2011 for instance we finished #5 in the country yet 3rd in the SEC West and beat the Big 12 co-champions in the Cotton Bowl by 15. We've had sporadic success in football (three SEC West division titles and a BCS bowl appearance), basketball (national title in '94 but pretty mediocre since), and baseball (multiple CWS appearances and nearly a national title last year) but haven't been consistent in anything but maybe baseball (and track). I see us as a comparable or better program historically to Oklahoma State so I'm not sure why we can't do what they've done under Gundy here.
The money we get from the SEC is hard to turn down and we have pretty great facilities in all 3 major sports but our average recruiting ranking in football would be around 3rd-5th in the Big 12 most years compared to around 10th in the SEC so it is easy to see why it might be attractive to not be in the same division as Alabama, LSU and Auburn anymore.
There weren't any co champions in 2011
I guess Kansas State finished 2nd, must have misremembered. You'd think I'd be able to remember the last season we were any good better than that
They did. One of the lowest points in the programs history. Well.. ..it is a toss up between that and the Citadel loss in '92. Does not change a thing. Arkansas will not be going to the Big XII.didn’t arkansas lose to north texas? put them in the wac or conference usa
Yup, Hogs should come, along with the Huskers
You misspelled anyone else besides Nebraska.
