Was trying to figure out why the Yotes were tight against the cap then i realized the current cap hits of Hossa and Ribeiro taking up over 8 million of space.

Refresh my memory nasty, devils initially were going to face a larger cap hit for kovalchuk... they appealed and the cap penalty was “re-calculated” by the nhl to a lower number
