In Russell's case that bad blood was mostly on Magic. He's gone now obviously, so the situation is possibly changed...

We'll see...

It's more to it than how Magic and the Lakers treated D'Lo though. D'Lo is represented by Aaron Mintz. He did not like how they treated D'Lo first time around or Julius Randle (another of his clients) and its believed to be a big factor in why Paul George (another client) didn't even bother to take a meeting with LA. There's also belief he and Pelinka do not get along at all.

I feel like a potential sleeper team for D'Lo is the 76ers. No one really knows what is going to go on with Butler and Harris, but if they move on D'Lo might be a great fit. Another play making guard with shooting and scoring abilities could help compliment Simmons.

This offseason is the "who the fuck knows" of all offseasons. I really have no clue what people are going to do. It's a huge domino effect. I think some teams have their targets, but things will get messy real quick when you see something weird.

The most who the fuck knows goes to the Knicks, Kings and Clippers. If the Clippers don't get Kawhi I feel like they're going to pivot into a few different directions. Could make them alter the choice of going after Horford. Maybe they want to pair two younger players? The Kings and Knicks all have big cap space to throw around but who wants to go play for them? Kings gonna land a better version of Harrison Barnes in Tobias Harris? Knicks gonna max out Brogdon? Shieeeet.

Like I said...WHO THE FUCK KNOWS.
The Kings have a pretty good core of young players and Buddy, who finished 9th in the West when they were expected to be last, along with the ability to sign 2 max players(even if they needed to clear some space to make it happen). They could get Tobias Harris and one of the higher priced centers(Horford/Lopez/Vuc) to put into a starting lineup with Fox, Buddy, and Bagley which would look really good. The only real downside of that would be Bagley and Giles not getting an increased role on the team but there would be a clear upgrade in talent. If they were a big market team and had a better FO I'd give them a decent chance to make that happen.

Some in the regular season but mostly in the playoffs. He's good but he's isn't worth the Lakers giving him more than $20 and no way will that be enough. He probably won't even get enough touches to earn his salary. You need players who are content with limited touches and will make the most of those touches. I think DLo would need too many touches to be effective and happy.

Fair enough, I still think the best option is Beverly and then add a 3 and D SG. Maybe you spend more on a center and bench depth.

If they can get a 3 and D guy + Beverly at about $18-20M combined. You have $10-12M to add maybe Kanter, DeAndre or Cousins at a lower price then fill out the bench.

If Kawhi and DLo aren't options, then go Beverley, Green/Ross, Dedmon, McGee (and the obligatory Melo, JR, and Korver).

Not sure how much Ross is wanting but Beverly is wanting $13M/year. Ross probably around the same maybe more. Realistically you can get two really nice starters instead of a max guy. Beverly, Ross, guys like that are going to want anywhere from $12-16M a year I would think.

So you get those two, Dedmon with the MLE perhaps, and the balance with vet mins.

Yes! Yes! All the big name players are headed to big markets just like the NBA wants.

If Durant wants to go the to the Nets, I'm fine with a sign and trade. Just have them send back Caris Levert and they can keep their draft compensation.

@Mecca

You guys gotta find a way to get McCaw back

What i'd like to see, and this is what I hope will happen, not necessarily what I believe will happen:

Lakers sign DLo and Cousins

Fill the rest of the roster with players willing to take smaller contracts. JR, Korver, even Melo has been mentioned

You all don't want Melo

Bulls: Some guy ranked over 50 on top 100 free agent list. But just one of them. Probably number 63.

Not even joking, I would take Melo for this season for the Warriors.
