Was surprised Rudy Gobert won Defensive Player Of The Year. Thought there would be voter fatigue.

All of the finalists were good, was happy with the pick.

Was surprised Giannis Antetokounmpo won MVP. Thought it would go to Harden, due to scoring.

He cried.

So if Harden or Paul George would have won MVP, did Nike have commercials ready for them too?

In other Jazz related news, Mike Conley Jr. won the sportsmanship award. Said he's excited about the coming year.

I'm glad they got rid of Dunk Of The Year, Clutch Shot Of The Year, Assist Of The Year, Block Of The Year, Handle Of The Year, Best Style, and Play Of The Year.

They're too subjective.

I think it is ridiculous. A lot of those reasons are related to the season. Personal bests? How in the world is that show that you were the most valuable to your team? Those totals can and so if your personal previous best was high and you surpassed it, that number is going to be higher, but I don’t really care that it was your career high. We’re not debating on what year was the best and we can’t say that’s just because you won last year that anything better must repeat.

Top two in four of the last five years? Again, not relevant. I’m not gonna go through all of them, but if I were to refuse something I would talk about scoring but I would also emphasize the assists and winning percentage or defense or something else. And I don’t know where Giannis is on everything. I just know he’s a great player on a team that won a lot.

At the end of the regular season in which Westbrook won his MVP, Morey whined that wins weren't being valued enough.

Well this time, they went with a team that won more than Houston, and Houston's Twitter still whined.

And I still think Westbrook should have at least one MVP for one of his triple double seasons, because of the impact that a triple double represents, and how focused you have to be on every possession, to make such an impact.
